The best thing about my school would be the students. Everyone is so unique and considering that Norfolk State University is an HBCU, there is a variety of many people and cultures. There is something diferent about everyone here.

The music program, the band directors are some of the greatest musicians I have ever known and are very good at teaching and doing their job.

The best thing about my school is the easy way of transportation. Our school is right in the middle of the Tide and HRT. It makes it very convient for us students to travel off campus to the malls or stores. Also we are connected with HRT to be able to ride the transportation of Virginia for free.

The professors really care about you and your success.

I feel as though the learning environmen is the best thing about my school. For those who are comfortable in their high school class setting, Norfolk State University should be your institution of choice. My biggest class this semester only had 24 students in it and I found it very helpful that the class was that small. The teachers make themselves available if not by email or telephone hen definately in person. THey are really nice and if you show them that you care about your grades, they will take that into consideration when doing your grades.

I go to a HBCU. Although everyone around me is considered to be black, each and every person who goes here is diverse in their own way. There are people from all over the world, and diversity makes our campus better.

The best thing I like about the school is that it is an open campus with a different people from other areas.

I believe the best part of my school is the diversity of the student body. The interaction with classmates of different ethnicities and cultural backgrounds gives students an intangiable knowledge and acceptance of others and prepares us for a diverse job market.

The best thing about Norfolk State University is the drive that the professors have. They have a strong passion for what they are teaching and they help their students to the best of their ability. Another good thing is that our president, Dr. Carolyn Meyers attends on-campus events and is very personable.

The best thing about attending Norfolk State University is that my school is extremely close-knit and community friendly. Norfolk State University owns an outreach center where some of the students, including myself, volunteer. I like attending Norfolk State because the majority of the teachers and counselors make it just about impossible for you to fail. There are always places you can go to recieve tutoring and/or extra help on any of your work. I also love going to Norfolk State because it is an HBCU, and I just love the atmosphere.

The best thing about my school is that it is a small campus so they new students will learn the campus quickly. The education department is wonderful. It is filled with caring faculty and loving teachers. School spirit is wonderful and social life is great.

The best thing about NSU is probably some of the professors here are nice. The class discussions are also good.

I think the best thing about Norfolk State is that it has a family atmosphere. New students get acquainted with each other, the faculty, and the campus layout before the upperclassmen arrive so they will not be overwhelmed. The faculty and staff are very supportive, helpful, and easy to relate to which adds to the family atmosphere. NSU is not a very large school, this fact results in the students feeling more like a person rather than a number.

The best thing about my school is the focus on career development.

The best thing about my school is the opportunity to succeed in your chosen academic major. The DNIMAS program is the best thing for me since I am a Physics major and there are very few (almost none) physics majors on campus in any classes whether freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior classes. This program affords me an opportunity to research and study in my field all four years of my college career.

I consider the best thing about my school to be the relativley small campus, and classes. This means a better chance of getting extra help because the rooms arn't over crowded.

In my opinion the best thing about this school is the student services. Our school has a great shuttle service that takes us to the mall, movies and Wal-Mart on the weekends. Also our school puts on alot of dances and pep rallies to keep students busy rather than resulting to drinking and partying.

The best thing about my school is the Library, it stays open very late on week days and weekends

The on campus events are the best thing because they allow for new experiences.

The school spirit... Because everyone participates in the all the activities... alumni as well as people from the community.
