Fraternities and Sororities are not very important but are definitely have a large presence on campus. Many are very community service and major based. Rush week is well known across campus. You do not have to join greek life. I am not part of greek life and I have felt no pressure to join. Many of my friends are in fraternities and sororities, but they never try to push me to join.
