I really enjoy North Central! It is in a great location and the campus is very pretty and well-kept. The classes are a decent size, not too big or small. All the professors are very nice and want you to succeed. There are many activities to get involved in, and multiple resources to help you maximize your potential.

North Central's Campus is the only one that I stepped foot into and truly felt like I was home. Not everybody else's college search experience will be that significant, of course, but I feel it is important to tell people when they are searching for the right school for themselves: though it may not happen instantly, you will typically always know which school is right for you. If you are looking for a school that loves the arts as much as sports, and vice versa, North Central College could be a good fit for you. If you are looking for a school that only has a few lecture halls and relatively small class sizes, North Central may be the right school for you. If you are looking for a school with an easily accessible downtown area with a lively energy, North Central College is the perfect school for just that. And, if you are looking for a home away from home, a place where you can feel accepted and at your full potential, North Central could be somewhere to consider.

It's good for people that like small places. This means teachers are accesible always and class sizes are small except for a small number of big classes. I like campus food especially desserts. Also, there are many things happening that go sometimes overlooked, like theatre plays and concerts in the Union. There are many student organizations, I myself am a part of three. Also, there is a variety of on campus jobs. Academics are nice since they teach what is useful, but don't overload or stress. Being a graduate of the deadly and stressful International Baccalaureate, I like the manageable schedule I have during the school year. There are opportunities that couldn't be find in bigger schools, like the Chicago Term and a lot (really a lot) of study abroad opportunities, even during D-Term. Finally, even though there are private parties, it's not a party school, mainly because there aren't frats or sororities. I am a commuter and like the campus a lot, especially the Wentz Concert Hall and Pfeiffer Hall.

I think North Central has a rigorous coursework and really awesome class sizes. Like any small school there isn't a lot of partying, but we make up for it. I think overall it's a great school and it continues to grow. It's also in a great area and you can walk to the downtown Naperville area.

North Central College FAQS

  1. What is the Acceptance Rate at North Central College?

The fall 2020 acceptance rate for North Central College is 59%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

If I could talk to my younger self, I would tell myself that it is okay to excel. Since I have attended college, I have discovered how much I love learning and doing well in school. It is a passion that I suffocated for so many years because of the remarks people made to me about my good grades. I was a self conscious high school student who just wanted to fit in and not be known as the nerdy girl who actually did all of the assigned work. I stopped performing as well in all areas of school so that I could be like the majority of the other students. Looking back, I deeply regret that choice. I have always loved learning, but for far too many years, I hid my desire to learn from others. Now that I no longer do that, I am much happier and I am performing to my highest potential in school. I have also realized to what extent my love for learning is and how it has matured over the years. I don't know if I would listen, but this is definitely something I want my former self to know.

I wish I would of known how to get the right loans in place and how to pay for school. Not knowing what to do led to a lot more stress for being a freshman in college. Also, I wish I would of known how to get more involved with the school. There are a lot of different clubs and jobs availabe and it would of been nice to know how to get more involved and getting my name out in the college.

  8. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

I would consider the worst thing about my school to be the size of the dorm rooms. They are managable to live in with a roommate, but I would like them to be a little bigger. I love the school I go to, so the worst things really are not that bad to handle.

  11. What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

The most frustrating thing about my school is that we are on a trimester schedule. By the spring semester everyone is drained and doesn't feel like being at school anymore. You do not see your freinds as much and it is really boring because it's either you are getting prepared for fall sports or summer league or you are taking last minute classes so you won't have to stay ovet the summer. The most you can take is 12 credit hours so people will take 4 classes in ten weeks and have to pass all of them.
