Honestly, I never gave NCTC as much credit as it deserved. Going to NCTC obviously wasn't my first choice. I had dreams of leaving Texas as soon as I graduated from high school. Life had other plans unfortunately. At the end of my Junior year of high school, my father made his intentions clear to leave the family and allow us all to be evicted from our home. This is where I had to put all my money towards helping my mother get a good divorce attorney and help her get an apartment. Obviously, out of state university was now a pipe dream. It was clear I had to stay local to help my mother pay the rent. NCTC in Corinth was the only school I could afford ad drive too. I was beyond blessed to have NCTC for all these years. Some of the greatest professors I've ever had, came from NCTC in Corinth. My first professor, Steve Wolfrum, raised the bar on educators. Jane England helped me get published by my current school, Texas Women's University, at the age of nineteen years old. Jack O'Connor has helped me put perspective on life in general then and even today. Those are just a few of the amazing professors who have helped me thus far, I could list them off for hours. Justin Hawking's is the best Speech teacher/professor I've ever had. Andrekus Dixon taught me Texas Penal code, and somehow kept it interesting. Cliff Downey helped me out with the near fifty different forms I had to fill out for one of the local police departments I applied for...and I wasn't even enrolled in his class at that time. North Central Texas College in Corinth wasn't the school I wanted, it was the school I needed. Sure, it won't give you the college experience you think you want from watching years of college based TV Shows and Movies. It will however give you the greatest professors around who are real and understanding of your struggle. Thinking back, now at TWU, I would give anything to have a professor like the ones mentioned above here in Pioneer land. If NCTC is the only option...you have a truly amazing option.
I have enjoyed my time at NCTC, because the environment is nurturing and supportive. It is very apparent that the teachers want their students to learn, and they want to help in any way possible. In a learning environment this kind of attitude is vital to the success of many students.
I have been at North Central Texas College for almost a year now and I love it. I love the professors, I love how the class size isn't too big, and I love how close to home this campus is. I enjoy going to North Central Texas College because it's more affordable than a 4 year university and most of the people are very nice.
During my time at North Central Texas College, I have enjoyed nearly every day spent on campus as I learn new material and meet new people. From the accessible professors to the accurately sized classrooms, there is always someone to have a conversation about academics with.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for North Central Texas College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
"Self, you are a teenager with responsibilities including but not limited to: maintaining a part time job to put food on the table and being a leader in the band as section leader and band director assistant while maintaining a 4.25 GPA. I am about to add more to your plate. You will soon begin the tedious process filling out scholarships and applications for colleges. I know that you are excited about heading into nursing school. You will have all the responsibility of homework soley on you because your professors will primarily give final grades based on tests and essays. This means do your homework when you receive it and absorb the information. Do not procrastenate! This will send you into a spiral downward as you will be always trying to catch up. Take chances and make friends and study motivated buddies that will push and be the accountability in the transition. Most importantly, however, is to communicate with all of your professors and let them help if you are struggling at all. These professors always have some sort of tutoring or enhancements in order to help in the absorbtion of material. Keep focusing and you will succeed."
Someon who can adapt to the outdoors-there are so many specatacular things about living in Alask, but the darkness is difficult for people if you don't enjoy outdoors activities, or stay active.
I really love my school and I never fell something bad from my school. My school give me wondeerful knowlwedge so that I can become successful in my life. O like all my teachers and they really helpful in every aspect. School is extremely help in various way. So for me there is nothing worst about my school. I LOVE MY SCHOOL.
My school is a local, smaller campus. The staff is helpful, caring, and make you feel completely comfortable. NCTC is affordable and at the same time your getting great quality for your money. Truely a great education is here for anyone and everyone. The nursing program is one of the best in the state. Luckily for me... I was recently accepted into this great program. There is more to this school than 100 words give credit to. I truely wouldn't attend anywhere else.
A person that should not attend this college would be someone that does not want to learn. North Central Texas College provides an environment that encourages learning. There are many opportunities that they provide for students that will help them learn. The instructors are willing to help with students and most classes offer group tutoring sessions that provide a prime envorinment for students to get together and learn from each other. They also have a student success center that offers seminars for students to learn how to study and how to manage their time between classes and other everyday activities.
My classmates are really helpful. For ag group project, we all work together. If one eed help than another classmate is ready to help. My classmates treat all as a good friend. For any major exam, my classmates and me study together in quite place such as library so that we can concentrate on our study. To me classmates is like a family. We all live in class as brothers and sisters. Everyone has a different goal and sometimes classmates also help in achieving our goal. This is true thought that tuthful friend in each class room is our classmates.
Providing education to students like me, coming back after being gone from the education scene for a while. They offer a large selection of classes and settings in which to get your degree.
North Central Texas College has helped me though every step in getting into college. Their tuition prices are reasonable for students who have to pay rent, and they do take that in to consideration which I reallly like.
I wish I would have prepared myself mentally for the amount of time it takes to study and put effort into all my class. Basically, I just wished I would have trained myself to be a better studier during high school.
