The most frustrating thing about North Park is the fact that it's not always a safe place. We have amazing campus security, who are always watching out for us and and willing to go the extra mile to ensure our safety, but they can only do so much. It's frustrating not be able to safely walk around at night and to have to use the buddy system in college, but when you live in the city it is inevitable. As long as you are careful and smart, you have nothing to worry about.
North Park lacks in its audio/visual department which is what i went there for. There facilities are drastically inferior to some of the bigger Chicago schools. However the small class sizes allow you to work closely with professors that really know the field. The school is expensive, and frankly sometimes I just couldn't figure out exactly where my money was going. I was very frustrated with the facilities hey had available to me as a Communications Media Studies major. They did not use up to date software, and were very protective of state of the art equipment.
The most frusterating thing is that people aren't always in their office when you're looking for them.
None.
Students do not take advangen of the area they live in
Everyone has so many opinions. Not everyone can be original!
I'm frustrated by the fact that my school is a Christian school yet so many of our professors and even more students are quite liberal. I think our chapel should be more conservative, fitting in more with the church it is affiliated with.
It's really expensive, and it's just hard to come up with the money to pay for it.
A fickle administration... odd decision-making to try to respond to an increasing bar in terms of campus safety when we're located in a dense urban area and crime/violence is an inevitable reality...while disregarding other, more pressing needs. Way too much is invested in a presently and historically pitiful athletic program for all sports but Soccer.
