Don't go here, there are thousands of other decent universities in the world to choose from. These ass holes and bitches claim to be scholars but cannot even be bothered to find the truth when dealing with the slander of one of their own co-workers and colleagues. No they would rather make assumptions and jump to conclusions, and then after torturing you for years, if you make one nasty comment about them they will take this comment and spread it around and use it to say that THIS is how this person is all the time and slander the person even more. You ever see the movie "Good Will Hunting"? That was me, even though I was and still am the best and brightest, I worked custodial at night while going to school during the day, was raising my son PT, and still manage to maintain a 4.0 GPA. Now imagine if Will, instead of getting the girl and being supported by faculty, imagine he was slandered to the point that he went home and sat with a a loaded shotgun in his mouth every night. That would be a shitty movie, and I've had to live it. These people preach love and practice hatred, they perceive being nice and kind as weakness and try to destroy you if you display these values. These NAU folks are the scum of the earth, albeit with a couple of exceptions, they do not deserve to be supported by the state; a state my ancestors settled in long before your stupid governments were established by the way. Same for the good ole USA, my ancestors were here first, before your stupid government. I will spend the rest of my life trying to undermine and destroy NAU, I write public officials regularly, I let them know that if they side NAU over me then they are guilty of treason against the citizens of this state. I graduated 10 years ago, 10 years of mostly suffering homelessness, cold and heat, hunger, harassment by federal cops, etc. I would much rather hang myself from a tree than pay back the $150,000 student loan debt I incurred while a student at NAU. Attending NAU quite literally ruined my life.

It’s an amazing school where the faculty wants you to succeed. Students are there to learn so the environment is energetic and ecstatic. The difference between my community college and this university is incomparable in the best way possible. I’d recommend this school to anyone who is trying to make a difference in their future.

Northern Arizona is Situation in the small town of Flagstaff Arizona. That being said, this is a small town. If that is not for you then I would not recommend this University. But, if you enjoy the small town feel as well seeing all 4 seasons then NAU is a really good fit. There is an abundance of resources to help you succeed such as free tutoring, review sessions, and there is even a food distributing service on campus if you are hungry. However, the freshman level courses are huge and sometimes the professors can be unhelpful and even condescending. But, tutors and TAs are a valuable resource for classes like this. You are more likely to get to know them and develop a positive connection with them. If you are looking to get involved, NAU is a great place for this. There are many club sports like soccer, softball, frisbee, archery, and paintball. Also, there is a never ending list of clubs on NAUs website. If you like it, there is most likely a club for it. All in all NAU is a good smaller college if large campuses arent for you, freshman classes are always big, but dont let this discourage you. After my first semester my professors were caring, attentive, and very awesome.

It is a nice University with smaller class sizes and various outdoor activities. The Flagstaff Mountain Campus is not too large and is centrally located within the city. The school hosts a variety of academic majors, sporting events, and clubs to get students engaged on campus.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

Northern Arizona University holds a friendly atmosphere. There are always people ready to help you with anything you may need. Although the first year counselors were not the most helpful, the helpful staff nearly always outweighs the rest. Here, school is a fun experience; especially with the amount of fun activities, opportunities, and events there are.

I see this school as an investment in my future, rather than just some college. The people there all have somewhere they're headed or someone they wanna be. Whether it's to be big in politics or just to party every weekend, the sky's the limit.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

I enjoy NAU and its beautiful campus and most people are very friendly around campus. The only thing I do not like is the fact that upper classmen are getting kicked off campus for housing because they are letting so many freshman in. This then leads to more expensive option for upper classmen as well as greek life slowing getting moved out of the greek dormitory which is sad considering they built that building so we had a place to come together and be a sisterhood or brotherhood all together.

This university is so much fun and the culture surrounding the university and the surrounding town is so welcoming and open! There's so much to do no matter what your passions are and you can always find someone to go along with whatever crazy scheme that you want to do. I've never felt unwelcome here, and I can be kind of a smart alec most of the time. There are definitely cliques and niches within schools and majors, but for the most part everyone is so friendly. I'm not in a frat or a sorority, but from what I hear they're worth checking out. All in all, NAU is a wonderful university, and being one of the big three universities in AZ and the cheapest sets it apart from everyone else!

I think NAU is a great campus for people who are outgoing, creative, and love the outdoors. The campus has an amazing energy and there is always something going on. I feel safe all of the time and I think that's because the campus is not super big or intimidating. Overall, I love NAU!

What is your overall opinion of this school?

When I first applied to NAU I was unsure about how everything would go. I didn't know much about college and how the process worked. I had some issues with getting my transcript in and when I called them they were always ready to help me. When I finally visited the college they were very informational and the people who gave the tours loved being there as well. The atmosphere of the school is amazing and it's also very beautiful. I knew that that is where I wanted to be. To this day I will call them and they will have answers for me. I love how they always want to help to make sure that you get the information and resources you need.
