lovely campus in a charming town with very friendly students and faculty. when visiting the campus for the very first time I met a student at an adorable coffee shop right outside of the campus. she was extremely nice and gave lots of information and advice, and one of the reasons NAU became my first choice.

I got my Bachelors from NAU in May 2015 in Special Education and currently working on my masters. NAU has shaped me in the teacher I am today. It has given me problem solving skills and the ability to work in a variety of environment. Without NAU I would not be as successful professional as I am today.

I love Northern Arizona University. Ive made many friends and its easy to get involved. Although On Campus housing isnt availible for all upperclassmen and its kinda expensive. Overall though the weather is fantastic, the class sizes are small and the people are friendly.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

This school is absolutely remarkable, the architecture, the atmosphere, and the people. There is an intense difference between high school and college. In high school, there is a small number of students and more room for conflict and pure stupidity. On this college campus, there are thousands and thousands of students and they only care about their education. I love NAU. I just hope I can raise enough money to go.

I love my school and the communities I've found here. Admittedly, there are some parts of the school I can't wholeheartedly recommend - for example the hot spot (cafeteria-type place) food is good but their dish washing is less so - but I've found most of my experiences here to be positive. Living on campus has been great, with the RAs in my hall being friendly and happy to help out when you ask. Classes have been great. Most of my teachers have been willing to accommodate my needs for technology or fidgets in class and occasionally extra help outside, which is important as someone with various attention issues. Flagstaff is a great area as well, with plenty of nature to provide a wonderful setting for the university. Just bring allergy medication for the spring. Overall, my experience here has been a very positive one. Sure NAU has a few downsides, but what university doesn't?

Couldn't be in a better location. Flagstaff in beautiful and the campus is right in the middle of the city. It's a huge campus with plenty of greenery; but, beware the snow in the winter. Downtown Flagstaff is right next door and is full of plenty of fun, artsy events to participate in. The cafeteria is buffet-style and generally quite filling. The dorms, though small, are rather welcoming and there are several options for people who need a dorm on a budget. Chill people, chill school. Would recommend the Honors program simply for their new dorms.

I absolutely love NAU and everything that it has to offer. I think that NAU is the perfect school if you want to be in Arizona because it is not too big but is definitely not small feeling. You get multiple seasons and get to experience all sorts of weather, beautiful snow included. I loved living in my residence hall and I loved how many things there are to do on my campus. There is always something to do and new people to meet.

Northern Arizona University overall seems to be a great school with a very welcoming community. I love the environment and how welcoming people are around the campus and town. Housing on and off campus seem to be my biggest concern because they seem to be pretty pricey.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

Northern Arizona University is a great school if you like smaller class sizes and being absolutely surrounded in nature. There isn't much to do if you don't have a car but the academics here is amazing in any major. Students here are very involved with either politics, extra-curricular, Greek life or athletics (intramural or division). I really enjoy the business program and how they push us to be involved into things that will help us in the real-world. I just wish there was more to do here and also more food options on campus. Another con is that they kick off students after sophomore year so everyone fights for spots for other housing options off campus. Other than that overall, Northern Arizona University is a great school.
