I wish I'd known how difficult it is to get a job in Flagstaff, or on campus, before attending NAU. I also wish I'd had an incling of how expensive alot of housing off campus can be.

I wish I got more involed with student instruction programs and tutoring.

Other students. I was not from Flagstaff and I wish I would have known other people.

The cost of living.

There is really not much I could have done. I still have to commute 40 minutes to get to campus.

I wish I had known more about financial aid. Paying for school by ones self is not only hard, but distracting from school at times. When one must worry about the expenses of college it takes away from the precious time that should be devoted to studying and keeping a level mind during rough times at school. None the less I believe that I have academically excelled while having the worries that I do have.

I would have wished to know that the cold weather during the late fall and early spring semester are very disorienting for people used to warmer climates.

How hard it would be to be a Christian on campus.

More people! I came to this school from a completely different state. I made a few good friends right away, but I somtimes wish I had come to college with a friend or two from high school.

I wish I would have known the limits to the dorm sizes.

I wish I would have known the pleasant nature of the majority of students and professors, or else I would have been able to fully appreciate my freshman year much more than I had. Instead, I stressed at the differences in area and lifestyle from back home, so I didn't fully make myself open until it was too late. I also would have liked to have known the many clubs and extra-curricular activities provided, so I could have been involved earlier. Finally, I wish I would have known how cold it gets up here, which is saying something.

I wish I knew what I wanted to do instead of wasting time transferring around and loosing scholarship money.
