My school is best known for its encouraging, ambitious atmosphere. The vast majority of students at NU are very determined to live our God's calling on their lives so you will often find your friends studying or engaging in conversation that may have a healthy benefit to their education. The professors are uplifting and delightful to be around, so skipping class is rare. Overall, the learning environment is very effective.

Northwest is best known for its emphasis on Christian values and community service. While it is a Christian school, Northwest encourages students and provides them with opportunities to serve all people in our community as well as globally by sharing our time, energy, and resources. Students are challenged academically in order to have a greater understanding of the world around us so that they will be equipped to go into the world and serve it once they leave.

It's Christian background. It trains Christians to leave an impact on the world, no matter their vocation. Our motto is "Carry the Call." God has given every person a calling on their life, something they were meant to do, and they can only accomplish it through Christ. We need to be aware of those around us who may benefit from our calling and doing it the best we can.
