Northwest University is a Christian faith based institution that teaches it's students to learn how to integrate faith with their career choice. The campus is modeled after the importance of community. Initially, the campus and student life can seem overwhelming, however, if new students allow themselves to become immeresed in the surroundings, they will find it rewarding.

All of my professors have PhDs (which is the case with most professors in the various departments) or are experts in their fields. The class sizes allow for more student-teacher interaction. In addition to being experts in their fields, the professors care for the well-being and personal development of students. This school has a very strong sense of community and nearly all of the students are actively involved in some area of service either on or off campus. Students take what they learn in the classroom and apply it outside of the classroom.

I've neer been to a school where profs are so helpful and honest as Northerst University. We also have a better Intercultural Stidies and Nursing Program than most schools. We also have the best anti human trafficking program than any other school in the state.

They are extremely strict about alcohol, drugs, and sex. If you are caught with any of these things, especially on campus, you have a high chance of getting kicked out. But they also have a gorgeous environment and they seem to be closer when it comes to relationships among students.

Northwest University is a well established Christian College that is relatively mainstream. It has a well structured secondary education program from a Christian perspective which I feel is important for my biology major. The location was also important to us. It puts us far enough but not too far from our families in an area with which we are familiar. I also have a couple family members who have attended and have given favorable reviews.

I am in the nursing program and believe it is unique in its focus. It prepares students for cross-cultural nursing and medical work as well as for professional careers here in the States. As a highly competitive program, it is preparing us well! This school is also unquestionably Christian in its world view. I value that and see it as a unique aspect.

The community life here is wonderful. Everyone is so supportive of each other and so friendly.
