Northwest University Top Questions

What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

Lindsey

I wish I had known more about myself in terms of who I am in Jesus Christ before attending this school. Northwest University is a Christian-based school, so I'm not too concerned about growing within my faith, however, I wish I would have taken more personal time for myself over the summer. I wish I would have taken time to understand who Jesus Christ says I am. If I would have known this I would have been a lot more excited and open-minded to all of the Chapel Service events.

This school is not very acomidating to the single parent who is on a very tight budget. Fincial aid checks dont get issued for several weeks after the first day of school and parent responsiblities are not excused absences. There is not enough grant money for childcare every semester.

I wish I knew more about the scholarships and deadlines for the school. I didn't know anything about the music scholarship so I missed the deadline. I also wish I knew a little more about their music program because they have a much bigger program than I thought, so I didn't get involved.

There isn't anything I would like to have known before I came to the school. It would have ruined the surprises and the mystery about it. It left it open for me to explore for myself and to develop my own opinions and thoughts, rather than coming into the school with the thoughts and opinions of someone else.

Well, considering I have only taken a two hour tour of the campus, I can?t really answer that question accurately. I feel I have been well informed about how it operates and the lay out of the campus.
