It is a quiet, safe and lovely campus located in beautiful Traverse City Michigan. The staff seem incredibly helpful overall and have been very available for your success.
It is a small college with bountiful opportunities to learn inside and outside the classroom. The extracurriculars are easy to find and even after an Associates or Bachelors through NMC their University Center located close by can help in extending your education further.
NMC is an awesome community college, has a safe comfortable environment, many programs of study, and many awesome areas to hang that are quiet.
As a two-year college, it is a great start to the college experience. The teachers and students are all very nice and open to helping you and the community is very close. The college is surrounded by a forrest-area providing amazing scenery and a goo environment for studying in. I liked studying there but it wasn't as challenging academically as I expected it to be which was good because it was easy, but bad because I didn't like being bored most of the time.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Northwestern Michigan College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
Advice that I would give myself is to focus better on test taking because still to this day I struggle with tests and it can be a big impact once attending college. If i would have tried harder in highschool to do better on tests I wouldnt struggle so much in college, but other than that everything has improved after highschool including my GPA, so must be doing something right.
They are all older aged men who already have some experience in the field.
Nothing, really. This is a small school and the students and staff are very friendly and willing to help out new students.
This school is a great place for any two year degree. The location of the school and surrounding area is as beautiful as the curriculum is strong. Programs available at NMC are structured around associate degree completion or a few specialties, such as maritime and nursing, but the school is a phenomenal place with a strong teaching staff and proud alumni. I would recommend it to any undergraduate.
Northwestern Michigan College is afforable for everyone.
If I had to choose, it would be that it is such a small school, it kind of feels like high school all over again.
This is the first time I am attending NMC as one of their students. In the past, I've attended to obtain classes for my degrees at a different school. For a small community, I find NMC to be very personal and adventurous in their fields of study choices like Water Studies, Culinary and Cultural Anthropology. NMC offers educational programs that you really can't get anywhere else. I think the downfall in a small community is a lack of diversity; but what they lack in diversity, they make up in culture.
Someone that is full of themselves should not attend this school because attending this school will not make others in the college impressed. Here at NMC we all make the best of what we have because we are all close. NMC students always help each other.
My school is best known for not only offering associates, some bachelorette degrees and several other degrees through the university center. NMC not only offers such a wide range of degrees and certificates, but has extended education programs that are offered a wide array of non credited classes to several local residents. " If you're going to increase the population that has college... community colleges will have to play a central role".
It's a small community college focused on the learning process, not the answers you provide. NMC wants to learn new things, not drill answers in your head for tests.
Very friendly, as much help as you could possibly need.
Enrollment was super easy and the on site FREE tutors are fantastic.
The best thing about NMC is that the staff are all very excited to be there everyday and are truly dedicated to their profession. Everyone is super helpful and willing to meet after office hours. The cost is another exemplary trait in that it made college affordable for anyone who wants to get an education and just as Jefferson said, it is super important to have an educated citizenry.
none that I know of but from my experience, alot of dumb people that slow things down and iritate the shit out of me.
NMC has a stunning campus. In town, yet nestled in trees and bounded by great neighborhoods.
The academics are good unless you get a new teacher, then they completely suck because they are still trying to figure out what to do.
Feminists and I hate them.
