    My school is a technical college that caters to graduating high school students and adults transitioning back into school. I have been very pleased with the varied programs that this institution has to offer. The instructors are passionate about teaching other students to learn. It's also a smaller campus, so there is a more hands on approach with the students. The only draw back is the campus is on a quarter system. which means a semester's worth of work is condensed into 10 weeks. This is definitely challenging for students.

  4. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

    Jacqueline, it's very imperative that you apply yourself now and get excellent grades because paying for a college education on your own is expensive. If you make the grades you can get scholarships and grants to help further your education. The job market is so competive now, that you'll need a degree to acquire a good paying job. Having a good education ensures that you'll be a productive member of society. The medical field is wide open with opportunities, especially Nursing the field you're interested in. It's important that you do well in everything especially your sciences and math, because that will be the foundation for you becoming a Registered Nurse. Associate yourself with people with goals and dreams. Disassociate yourself with "Dream Killers". Those are people who do not want to see you suceed in life. There's and old saying "If you fail to plan, then plan to fail."
