In my opinion, Oakland University is best known for having one of the few Chick Filet Restaurants in Michigan inside their student food court lounge. Not only is this the best fast food restaurant around, but after having a long morning of lectures from professors, looking forward to dipping those steak fries into some polynesian sauce made attending Oakland University worthwhile.
My school is known for being pretty afforadable for being a 4-year university. Most of the school's population is students who commute rather than living on campus. My school also has hundreds of clubs and organizations. It has a beautiful campus and is located in suburban Rochester Hills with downtown Rochester not too far.
My school is best known for their 200 campus organizations and the free amentities! They also have a meadowbrook music festival where a bunch of known artists like Iggy Azalea and many others. We also have a meadow brook estate where people can visit and tour there. There were movies that were filmed in the meadow brook estate like the transformers and black sky.
The school is best known for it's health science programs.
My school is known for its central location to many Michigan students. It provides many students with a school close to home. Oakland shapes you into a well rounded person through the general education courses you must have.

OU is a large school, however so many students commute due to living at home and/or off-campus, the campus does not overwhelm. There are classes offered morning, noon, and evening, so as to allow for students with families and/or jobs to still pursue their degree. OU has an impressive undergraduate business program and is currently working on its recognition for its law and medical school.

It is known for having a small campus in a very nice area. The top programs are nursing and business.

My school is best known for it's Educational degrees. It has a huge brand new building just for the Education Majors. It also does a lot with theatre and music programs.
