I just wish I had known more about the requirements of the education department specifically so that I could have been ahead of the game in my major.
Before coming to Oakwood University, I wish I would have been better informed about scholarship opportunities. As a transfer student, I did not feel as though I was offered the same quality of scholarships as maybe those who came straight out of high school. My scholarship search could have been a lot easier if someone assisted me. This is not completely Oakwood University's fault because I also have the responsibility of being independent-- I just wish I would have received more information prior to attending.
I wish I had known about the curfew when applying to school. I also wish I had known about how it is impossible to get food after 10 pm. Another thing I wish I had known about was the fines I can recieve. For example being fined for being late to curfew. I wish I was aware of these things before I came here.

I wish I had known about the availability of scholarship programs.
I wish that I had known to fill out more scholarships before I came to school. I would have made a part time job out of submitting scholarships. School is very expensive and that is the one thing that I regret not doing. I also wish that I developed better study habits in highschool so that I could develop them better in college.
I wish i would have known that if your GPA happens to fall below a 2.0 then the student will become on academic probation where he/she has to be in the dorm by 11:30pm no later each day. The student will not be allowed to spend the night anywhere except the dorm. I also wish i would have known that the work out room is so small and the availability and hours of the cafe and library does not fit everybody's schedule.
The toll it would take on my life and the lives of my twin sisters its a blessing we all got in. College has impacted our lives so much.
I want to start a new life on my own in order to understand what it's like to become a responsible for all the things that I would love to do in the future. Begin on the journey to a new mission that I need to do during school and the future.
Honestly nothing because I already expected certain things.
...that it's virtually in the middle of nowhere compared to Orange County, California
I knew pretty much all I needed to know about Oakwood University that I needed to know prior to my arrival.
The weather in the city of Hunstville
I wish I knew how to manage my time more effectively. Time has been and still is my most valueable resource. Also, I wish I had more academic experience before attending at Oakwood University.
I wish I had better understood how expensive it was.
I wish I would have known how on fire the spiritual life is around here because coming from a more conservative church I never really experienced this kind of worship. At this school, the go all out when it comes to praising the Lord. Regular worships sometimes turn into fully active concerts; it is utterly amazing!
I wish I knew that it was more financially driven versus spiritually driven, so I wouldn't have been as ashaimed of the institutions practices.
