The Ohio State University- Newark campus is often accurately described as being a "home away from home." It is a small campus where everyone knows everyone, and the professors are always accessible. Most people attend this campus for only a year, but you will feel like you have gained a family during that time. Academic support is always available to help you succeed. From tutoring centers to helpful professors, your time here will be well worth it. I highly recommend attending!
I have found the Ohio State Newark Campus to be a nice start for my college education. I am currently taking College Credit Plus classes and have enjoyed my experience. So far my teachers have been into what they are teaching and most of the students have been respectful of both the teachers and others.
It's a great school to start out at! The size of the campus is so convenient, campus is really nice during the warmer seasons, and people are friendly but its hard to make friends unless you already know them. Most of the professors are pretty cool, its just like any other university just smaller. You will get the same education as OSU main campus just in a smaller setting. OSU Newark for me was the best decision with saving as much money as possible! Sometimes it can get a bit boring, but if you are looking for somewhere to focus on learning, and not partying, activities, organizations than this school is right for you.
I like the campus as a whole. But having grown up in Newark my whole life, it gets a bit boring and monotonous. Most people transfer to main campus by their junior year which is definitely what I am doing as Newark doesn't offer my major. Wish there was more going on. it's hard to make friends and meet new people because most of us will be out of there come a year or two.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Ohio State University-Newark Campus is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
I would definitly tell myself to prepare more. Senior year of high school I kind of slacked off, I was never really a bad student but that senioritis sure did kick in. If I would have worked a little harder I could have been awarded more scholarships. I have a lot of student loans I'm going to have to pay back, I WISH I would have worked harder at raising funds for college.
I like the small campus, the student to teacher ratio and the location; still close to mom, but far enough to fill like I am away. I also like my campus surroundings. I am a real fan of the diversity that the campus offers; culturally, racially and ethnically.
I think most people would enjoy this school.
The worst thing about the Newark campus is there is not a lot of on campus housing. This makes it hard to be close to campus after school hours.
My classmates at The Ohio State University-Newark campus are really diverse , outspoken, and very opinionated.
The Ohio State University is best know for its football team.
The main quality that persuaded me to chose tOSU at Newark was that it offered a small learning environment that relates to what I was used to in high school and the fact that it was so much cheaper than most other small colleges, and it is a branch campus so I have the opportunity to transfer when I?m ready to.
I wish I knew more people, as far as administrators because the teachers and administrators at Ohio State University-Newark Campus offer a lot of information that would've been more useful towards the beginning of the academic year as opposed to the end.
My school is a small, and active learning environment, that offers a lot of activities and opportunities for students to truly experience the college life, and gives students the opportunity to meet others and to interact with a group of people that are interested in the same things that you are, and will give you all the opportunities to succeeded in life.
I like to tell my friends who attend other colleges about the small class sizes, ample parking, and low tuition rate.
The most frustrating thing about my school is the fact that most people have problems with math and the math center has weird hours of operation. Also, they are not open late during midterms or finals. That is the time when most people need help because they have to review many different sections at once and need assistance.
Honestly I think OSU Newark is a great school for anyone. I think Newark was a good start for me as a freshman. It has a smaller campus and smaller classes so, it's alot easier to get accustomed to college life and get a person ready for a bigger campus.
The academics are tough but it is on you to get the grades. Almost every class here is on you to get the good grades. The professors give you all the tools to get good grades yet it is a lot of work all you have to do is put in the time. The key to good grades is doing your assignments in advance.
The stereotype among my high school friends who all went to non-branch campuses is that all Newark students are unintelligent. They seem to forget that many of them did not get in to Ohio State University main campus anyway, therefore, their argument is invalid.
