A small campus with little to do. The sports here aren't to big especially since we lose a lot but they are still fun to go to. An alcohol free campus but some people still manage. It's really how you make it. It can be boring but it can be really fun. Depends on you
It’s a great place to expand your knowledge and it’s also a place you can call home because the teachers work with you one on one and they let you know that there’s always another way to succeed in college and life in top of that students seem to get along with everyone it’s a really friendly environment.
My overall opinion of Oklahoma Panhandle State University is that it is an okay school. If you want a bunch of thugs around and places to party and drink almost every night of the week thats your place. It does have decent degree , that can and most likely will get you a job out of college. Most of all if you want to live in the middle of nowhere with absolutely nothing to do, Panhandle is your place.
Oklahoma Panhandle State University is a great college for anyone who loves living in small towns and likes having small class sizes. There are not many things to do in the small town, but a few hours away there are several. Professors are always available to the students. Students understand their work for the most part. This university is a very well kept and a great place to get an education.

Advice that I would give to parents and/or students when searching for the right college and making the most of the college experience is first and foremost, never forget who you are and where you've come from. Every senior in high school can't wait to leave home and begin a new chapter in their life, but it's important to remember the people in your life that love you are that they will be there to support you through your college experience even when it gets the hardest. Other things to be taken into consideration are the interests of the student, as far as population of the school/university, the academic areas offered and/or emphasized in that school, the weather and climate of the area, and not to mention the affordability. I feel that Oklahoma Panhandle State University is a well-diversified 4-year university that holds a great amount of academic options to the students, no matter what their age, and it is reasonably affordable to attend. Just make sure you can handle the "Panhandle" weather!
Oklahoma Panhandle State University is best know for it's remarkable technology and agricultural departments that have traveled around the nation winning countless awards and titles.
Anyone willing to further there education.
We have one of the best rodeo teams in the nation. We always send someone to the finals. Everyone pretty much gets along very well with each other.
The school is a smaller university there for there is smaller class sizes which gives me more time one-on-one with my teacher. Which that givies me an advantage, instead of being just a number.
The majority of my classmates at Oklahoma Panhandle State University are great people, mainly from rural areas and communities that are working towards a degree of their choice.
Not sure.
It is very easy to meet people, get help from your instructors and get involved, however the campus is small, class selections and professors are limited, and there is really nothing to do in the surrounding area.
There is not a person out there that should NOT attend this school. Oklahoma Panhandle State University can and should be attended by anyone who is in pursuit of furthering their education, young or old. It is a very friendly and well-diverse university.
I talk about how cool the teachers are and how they really help their students.
We are out here in a plain, flat area. The closet grocery store is 10 miles away. I am pretty sure there are more cows then people in this area.
