In my experience with OKWU, I have been consistently impressed with their exceptional performance in all areas, particularly in terms of communication between students, staff, and professors. What has truly stood out to me is the unparalleled dedication of the professors to engage with online students, even at late hours. There have been instances where professors have responded to queries, discussions, or concerns close to midnight, showcasing their commitment to supporting students regardless of the time. Furthermore, their availability to communicate through various platforms, including phone accessibility, further enhances the overall communication experience. This level of commitment and responsiveness fosters a positive and supportive learning environment, contributing significantly to the success of online students at OKWU.

Very clean and straight forward campus. Everyone smiles and says hello. The professors seem to be open and very courteous and the campus set up is very open yet safe.
The program appears to be very friendly in general. We attended a chapel service unbeknownst to us on our recruiting visit and was truly amazed at the atmosphere of the forth coming students and teachers.

I feel in love with the school as soon as i stepped one foot on the campus. I love everything about it. The sizing of the classrooms are perfect, the private felicity is beautiful, the way we can connect to God and still receive an education is all that I dreamt about. Everything I was looking for is in this campus

I love this college! It is a faith based school, which makes it a great place for believers such as myself, and still accepting of those who don't quite share those beliefs, with the hope that we are able to minister to them through our actions. The fellowship on campus is great because it's a decently small school, which makes classes small enough that you're able to get to know your classmates, and just walking around the campus, there's a 99% chance you'll run into multiple people you know. Any time it's open, you can go into the campus coffee shop and meet your friends, sit down to study, get a drink, or play card or board games. The library is also a great place to meet up with friends. You can meet for a study group or just to hang out and reconnect. We have chapel service twice a week, which is always great. The worship teams are made up of students, and the speakers are pastors from all over the country, as well as missionaries, campus professors, church planters, and once a semester, a senior religion major is offered the chance to deliver a message in chapel, which is a huge honor. The classes are wonderful, and the professors are always willing to offer help if you need it. There is even a free tutoring program held in a special room in the upper library, and it is mostly professors who are there to give help to any of their students who might be struggling, but there are also students who are very good in particular subjects, and they are able to have work-study positions in there. Long story short, this is a fantastic university, and there is no place I would rather spend my college years.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
I would tell myself to be ready to buckle down and have a mindset to study. There are many temptations in college such as parties and the new found freedom from parents that can get in the way of the number one goal, school. Also, make friends with as many classmates as possible so you can form study groups when needed. The last bit of advice i would give is to participate in more funtions that would benefit the major i have chosen.
Anyone could attend this school. Those who are looking to further their education in a positive Christ centered environment should come to OWU. Many people also attend OWU to play sports so those interested in sports should also attend.
What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
The academics and social life at Oklahoma Wesleyan University are really welcoming. While attending school here a person gains an extensive amount of knowledge in order to allow the succeess when they graduate. The professors are all friendly and willing to help, they want to see the students succeed. The professors are also involved with social life activities. Social life is very active and helps students meet each other through intramurals and other events. Social life and academic life are tied together here making campus relaxed and vibrant.
Overall the best thing about my school is the atmosphere pof not onle the student body but the teachers as well. Students are always able to receive help from faculty. The campus has a sense of belonging that rivals most schools as well. Most students are here because they want to be here. The school also has a strong tradition of past graduates sending there kids.
All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA.
Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
