Olivet College Top Questions

I would say the worst thing about Olivet would be that it is slow on the weekends because there is not many things to do over the weekend on campus or in the community. Also, since Olivet is such a small town the students have drive about 15-30 mintues to go shopping for groceries or retail shopping.

I think the worst thing at Olivet College is the fact that students have a gossiping site called yik yak. Everyone uses it to gossip and talk smack about everyone including teachers and staff on campus.

The thing that I consider is the worst thing about the school is the fact that Olivet is not really handicapped accesible. Most of the buildings around the campus do not ways for the handicapped to get in and out the buildings. There is just not enough accomidations for handicapped.

The worst thing about my school is the food. They use the same things for lunch as they would for dinner. For example; if we had chicken breast for lunch, we would have chicken sandwiches for dinner. it gets very boring for us students who like to eat a lot.

By 11pm everything in town and on campus is closed so the only place to really hang out is at a sorority or fraternity house which encourages underage drinking and if you do not want to be part of the 'scene' then you basically get to hang out by yourself in your room.

The one downside of Olivet College is that it does not offer a a diverse number of Art degrees. For example, one cannot graduate with a degree in Fashion Design or Metal and Jewelry Arts.

The worst thing about the school is the money, because I am a commuter I don't live on campus so I have to drive 5 days a week 60 miles total to get to the school. When I am not schooling, I am working part time at Wal-Mart to pay for gas, housing for myself and fiance, food, etc...

The worst thing Olivet College is the size and social life. Olivet is a very small college with an enrollment with just over one thousand students. So needless to say it can get pretty boring at Olivet. There are not many social activities here and if there is an activity there are not many people there. On the weekends it is a ghost town and it and become almost depressing because its so boring. At the same time this is a blessing because there is not so many parties and everything happening it's easier to focus on school work.

I believe the worst thing about my school is the food. Not necessarily the cafeteria food, but the lack of places to eat around us. We have Subway and a restaurant downtown. Besides them, we have to drive to Charlotte or Marshall which is about twenty minutes away.

The worst thing about Olivet College is there is not as many options of classes to choose from as a bigger university does.

I believe the worse thing about Olivet College is the choice of food. When I first came to Olivet, the first couple of weeks and my visit, the food was outstanding. The lettuce is leafy and filled with leaves and stems while the meat is low quality.

There aren't too many things that are bad at my school. If I had to pick one to be the worst it would be the sandwhich and wrap line. The line is always so long but it's well worth the wait because the sandwhiches and wraps are really good.

There is a lack of cheap places to buy ANYTHING! All we have are gas stations.

Humm... the worst thing about my college is there's nothing around. This is the worst thing because I usually get bored on the weekend and have nothing to do because Olivet College is located in a small town with minor stores around.

The worst thing about my school is that if you live off campus it is very hard to find parking. Also, because it is such s small school then its hard to find things to do on the weekends, especially things that do not involve drinking.

The worst thing about my school is that there is no where to go and hang out, while feeling comfortable by yourself. The only thing there is to do at night is rush to the nearest fraternity/sorority and get drunk.

The worst thing about Olivet is the food. The food at Olivet College is not very diverse, there is only 2 places to eat, and it is typically the same thing every other week.
