Oral Roberts University is the best university in the world. As Students take part in mission trips as part of 60 clubs that are available through the university. Here,in Oral Roberts University, it has weekly chapel services in Christ's Chapel, which are recorded and broadcast live through the university's television station and also via satellite.

Delaney - 11/29/2020

At it's core, Oral Roberts is a university that loves God and builds it's students up to be the leaders of the future. It's a place for the hungry Christian mind that doesn't just want to attend a church service, but live in an environment constantly enriched by his presence. There's so many things to love, from the gorgeous campus, to the great professors, and amazing students. Of course ORU has it's downfalls, as every college does. At the end of the day though, I'm proud to be an ORU student, and I can't image attending any other college.

Brian

I really love that God has given me the opportunity to go and be a student there. God's presence truly rests there. Overall every student knows that they are there for a purpose. The president of the university seeks to provide the best opportunities for the students. It's a great school overall!

Laramie

I personally love ORU because of the Christian atmosphere and how kind upperclassmen were to me when I first arrived. Also, all of the Professors that I have had so far are really encouraging and helpful. Oral Roberts University also has a thing about getting its students in shape and keeping them healthy. We have a beautiful campus and chapel is great. I could not ask for a better college! God Bless

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

My situation is a little different, as I am a non-traditional student. The advice I would of given myself as a high school student would be to not take anything for granted. School is a gift. It is very expensive and as I said should not be taken for granted. Although it is a joy to learn and is necessary for a career or certain professions, it is still a gift that should be treasured and viewed as such. To not value your education is a disservice to all, your family, your community, but mostly yourself. So, I would say, take every day and treasure it, every class and adore it and every moment of every day, rejoice in it.

  3. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

The worst thing would be the cost. It is so expensive to go there and if you cannot find any kind of scholarships then you will leave with over $100,000 in debt from a 4 year career as a student.

This will be my first year at Oral Roberts University. There are some things that bother me already, however. The school is very strict on behavior. Students are not allowed to have sex or drink. I think that is incredibly narrow-minded of the school. College is a place where you learn about yourself and become an adult, so why does this school insist on treating its students like children?

  13. Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!

The most unique aspect of my school is the Prayer Tower which is located in the center of the campus. As a Christian I truly believe that prayer or declaration is pivital in my life. I do not believe that the location of the Prayer Tower is a coincidence because the founder Oral Roberts himself prayed in existence this beautiful and successful institution. The Prayer Tower for me, is a reminder of how things become. Just think about it, it's located in the center and if you walk around it, you will see exactly what Oral Roberts prayed for.
