I love it so far. I am a new student to the campus. My classmates are all students and athletes. I am currently on the women's golf team. And received an athletic scholarship that partially covers the cost of my education. The coach has been very clear that while golf is important that studies are the top priority. I am very thankful for thr opportunity to study at Ottawa University

Its overall not to bad, has a good campus cultural and there always some type of events going. Like I don't think you get the chance at any other school to ride a camel or good at Topgolf for free. so since it's a small town they always hold things to keep us occupied it could be free movie night at the local theater or just a simple ping pong tournament in one of the lounges there's always something to do. Since class sizes are small you always know your professor your professor will always know your name as well so you will always have access to them regardless if they're busy because most of them are on campus for the majority of the day anyways. The residence halls are not that bad even though they drastically range and prices the cheapest one it just a regular dormitory but it's just been recently renovated so we have a brand new bathrooms and showers and everything so the living is pretty nice compared to even big universities. At the same time this school is one of those schools wear if you come here is that there's no transferring after your sophomore year because some of the credits are not transferable since it is a private institution so that's something you should also keep in mind.

It is amazing, i have been many times and have been accepted. I am attending Ottawa to further my education and I couldn't be happier. I feel welcome because of how nice everyone is. It is a safe environment for you to grow not just in education, but as a person.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

Take each day one step at a time. Don't stress out about things that are due at the end of the semester, and remember to not get so stressed out. Take advantage of everything you can, you're only in college for 4 years (or 5, in some cases). Get involved in as much as you can, and take the opportunity to help the community you're inl it's most likely very different than the one you grew up with. Most importantly, make decisions for yourself. When you look back on your college career as you're walking across that stage to receive your diploma, look at all of the people who are proud of what you've done. All those late nights doing homework, all those stressful tests and quizzes, and all of the things you got involved with will help you from here on out. Your family and friends know that, too. Take those steps, smile at those people who gave you the opportunity, and don't forget about all of the memories you'll have. Remember what you want to be remembered for, and let it make you smile.

  6. What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

I would have to say the cafeteria food. It is not the best food I have ever had. This year it has been stepped up and the lady that they hired for food services is doing a really great job listening to the needs of the students. We have a steak night every month and that is pretty cool.
