As a new college student, I had no idea what to expect but entering orientation at Pace University made my transition from high school to college admissions easy. When entering Pace University you are greeted with nothing but smiles and positive vibes. Everyone that I have met so far has been nothing but sweet to me. Whenever I have a question regarding the school there is always someone around to assist and point you in the right direction. In addition to that, the security at Pace was on point always providing you with great information and protection . While at Pace there are many different types of majors to choose from. They range anywhere from art, science, theater, and even business. An amazing thing about Pace is that if you aren’t sure what you want to major in, there are many different activities that allow you to explore different types of experiences. School life at Pace appears to be great and the living space there is very comfortable. The dorms have plenty of room for you and your personal belongings. It’s also a very clean environment and the people within the dorms are very welcoming. Pace provides you with easy access to everything you need (financial aid, academics, dorm life, activities, etc.) due to the close proximity of all their buildings. This allows easy access to travel from building to building during the harsh winter. I can’t wait to start my learning experience at Pace.

Pace is an excellent University. I attended as a commuter student but was always welcomed to all of the events and never felt like I was missing out by not living on/close to campus. Professors and staff were involved and were always available. My academic adviser was very understanding of my work schedule and worked with me to ensure I was enrolled in the courses that fit my schedule.

From the first day of orientation, I knew that the student body of Pace is a special one. The students are full of fun-loving energy, and someone is always on their way to partake in a fun activity, wether it is on campus, or in the enormous Big Apple! You get out what you put into Pace, and Pace gives you all the opportunities you could hope for.

Pace University continues to provide its students with internships and opportunities that continue to remain unmatched to other institutions. However, the quality of certain staff and of cafeteria food could easily be improved with the immense amount of tuition the students pay every year.

Pace is a good school. I do think I would have been happier elsewhere, but it's hard to consider transferring when you live in New York City. Truly, the best thing about the school is the Honors College. Without the scholarships I received from the Honors College, I would not be attending Pace. The staff of the Honors College are also incredibly helpful and somewhat dependable. I don't even go to my academic advisor through Pace, I really only talk to my Honors College advisor. The professors are very hit or miss. I've taken some of the best and some of the absolute worst. Ratemyprofessor is helpful in building a schedule. My PSY112 professor is the one who inspired me to change my major to Psychology from History. The arts programs at Pace are really great; our musical theater program is one of the most revered in the country. The cafe completely sucks. Seriously, buy the cheapest meal plan and spend your money on real food. I like Pace, but I can't say I plan to be spending any time here beyond undergrad.

Pace is a school that is perfect for commuters. While there are also activities regularly offered on campus for students who live on campus. The classroom sizes are small, so you are able to form a bond with professors. While the food on campus is considerably healthy, it is not the best. If you go to this campus then you might want to get involved in organizations. Most of Pace's programs are run by Greek life and barely by clubs.

Pace seemed to be a great fit for me at the beginning. Sure, there are always going to be things about a school that you don't like: the price, the food, some of the professors. However, my program, childhood education, was completely changed during my first semester. I was told, mid semester, that my major worksheet had changed and that none of the classes I was taking were going to be necessary any longer, insinuating that I had just wasted a full semester. They then went on to explain how some of the required classes were not being offered and I would need to waiver sub in the extra classes, meaning that they did not have a fully staffed program and expected me to make up for their lack of program development. To me, this is not a degree. That should have told me they were no longer doing the program and then shut it down for incoming students, however they continue to advertise for this poor excuse for a department, just so they continue getting money from incoming students. I hope that any education majors reading this realize that Pace is really just putting up a front about the quality of their program and you should choose a different path, as I will be doing next semester.

I'm on the pleasantville campus. Pace is a good college if you're a nursing, business, anything but tech major. The Seidenberg school has amazing people but if you know a little bit of something already, you do not learn a lot. In fact, if you already do self projects, you will not learn at all. You will be spending lots of money and time on nothing and all that money will go to the athletes who always get first pick for classes. Anyone who does not do sports are secondary. Do not come here if your a computer scientist or it and already have knowledge in this field and do your own side projects. There will not be a lot you will learn. But if you're new to the field, this is a great place to be. There are a few good professors in each school and they are easily findable, but there are more professors that are a pain.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

I really love the performing arts school, it is what gives Pace a name. I feel like I will be well prepared for the industry. However, the other academics are a bit sub-par. The cafeteria is what you would expect; not horrible, not great. Very welcoming environment. Small class size. Living in the city is a BIG cherry on top.
