I am currently taking online classes at Peninsula College. And the website is user-friendly. The staff are available during normal business hours. They have been a great help and answer my questions in a timely manner. If they do not have the answer to a question, they usually refer me to someone else who can provide an answer.

Peninsula College is a hidden gem deep in the burrows of Port Angeles. Its facilities are brand new and the modern architecture is beautiful. The staff and professors at Peninsula College form a collective wealth of experience and knowledge while being extreamly helpful and available any day of the week. The education at Peninsula College is as good as any four-year university whilst having affordable tuition and being in a convenient location. Most of the professors have taught at four-year universities or have worked in their respective fields for many years and end up retiring to the Olympic Peninsula for its beauty. This, in turn, creates a top-notch educational environment while allowing the professors to teach in a relaxed setting. I have always, and will continue to enjoy my time at Peninsula College.

I enjoy the college and the town. There are so many things to do. If you enjoy outdoors this is the place for you. The nursing program is excellent. The professors are very approachable and want to help us succeed. There are great study groups and we use many different resources to make sure we do good.

Claire

I have been challenged by most of my classes at PC and have enjoyed excellent relationships with the majority of my instructors. PC has been an excellent academic choice for me as a springboard to future studies. I have participated in the school's soccer academy for four years which has been a huge bonus for my skills and knowledge base.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

Growing up my mother was anything but functional. She abused drugs and was a hoarder. I was always left to clean the house. SO i rebelled and stopped everything including trying in school and at home. I got taken in by my pastor and his family. I was so thankful. They saw how i had given up and they tried teaching me things i would need to know to living on my own. I refused to learn these things i wanted to party and have fun. So if there were any advise to have given myself is to listen to My pastor and his wife and learn these things they were teaching me. I'm still a bad cook,i suck at cleaning, and balancing money. There are many things i wished i would have listen to. my transition into the adult college world was a shock i now had to learn all these things on my own.

  3. Describe your favorite campus traditions.

Peninsula College has a lot of resources for students struggling with school. They have Learning labs which you get help with different subjects from the teachers and other advanced students. They also offer student to student tutoring for students who are really struggling. Also for students with disabilities they strive to provide all the things we need to succeed. My old college had a program called the kerswell learning system. Peninsula did not have that program and thy learned how helpful it was to me and how helpful it could be to others and they got it the next quarter.

I have attended two colleges Butte College in Chico, California and Peninsula College in Port Angeles Washington. Butte has many similarity's to Peninsula as in program of studies. Though my favorite difference is all the hiking trails behind Peninsula. If im getting stressed before or after class i go hiking and forget my worries for awhile. Its the best way to clear my head and i feal my stress levels drop in the woods behind my school.
