PCT is an excellent school for all kinds of majors, from HVAC to Automotive to Nursing to Technology. The class sizes are smaller, the campus is very safe and beautiful. The student housing is adequate and off-campus housing is plenty. The food is amazing. There's plenty of activities and clubs for one to join. Plan to attend an oopen house and see what being a PCT Wildcat is all about, you won't be disappointed.

The school is great for anyone who is interested in working on something hands on. You start your core classes right alongside your gen eds your freshman year. This is great because from day one I was able to determine if this major was right for me. Most other schools make you take all of your gen eds the first two years so you don't get to actually experience what your degree is like until year three. Like most schools you do become acquainted with the negatives as the years go on. Certain degrees or programs always get more recognition or funding than others. Do the research into what degree you want and how much the school supports it.

I visited Pennsylvania College of Technology in November 2020 as it is my first choice college. I loved the fact that it is a school that's not too big and not too small. It is an excellent school that has a great Welding program which is what I'm interested in and will be majoring in. My high school guidance counselor recommended the school as she knew what I was interested in. She was right. When I visited I got a personal tour and could not have agreed more. When I call my counselor or have a question, I get a response right away. The school has a reputation for their graduating students obtaining employment in their chosen area of study by the time they are in their junior year of college. I look forward to starting my college years at Penn Tech.

The stereotype of people at my school is that everyone is country hicks who go hunting every week. Sure, students there do go hunting quite a bit and love the country, but that's not all. No one is a "hick" and people are city people, mall go-ers, athletes, and talented chefs. The stereotype has very little truth to it.
