What draws me most to PSU is the opportunities provided. Many clubs, sporting events and opportunities to volunteer. In addition the career counseling services is easily available. The college is known for its great alumni network of over 700,000. Finally, the ice cream is fantastic at the Creamery!

Penn State Abington is very social and academic based. There are many activities, amenities for the students to partake in in the midst of all the stress of academics. In addition, the science and engineering department is vast in which many students from other schools transfer to this college. They do their best to create the most skilled and knowledgeable student.

Keira - 01/28/2020

Penn State Abington is very small so you'll make friends easily and are least likely to get lost on campus. The campus visit was beautiful though. Very nature like setting and nice and friendly students. Once your'e here it's like you don't want to leave. Very decent experience.

My overall opinion on Penn State is that it’s a good college. Penn State is known for helping many succeed and get amazing jobs. Everywhere you go you have to be careful, even if the college is safe and nothing ever happens, you just never know. Abington provides the community diversity and if your in this college you won’t have to worry about fitting in because everyone is the same as you.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

Listen past me. College is fun, you have a lot more freedom, and you will meet some new interesting people. But this just means you'll have more responsibility, you'll end up spending a lot of money on and off campus, also you'll need to make friends if you want to survive college. Work on all of your basic skills in writing, math, english, etc. And the most important advice would be to NEVER take a class with one of your good friends for fun. You'll either end up failing and damaging your GPA or waste your time in that class and not learn due to the fact that you will care for socializing more than the course itself
