Penn State Altoona is an excellent school to attend. They can get involved in clubs, teams, or organizations in many ways. In addition, the classroom size is roughly 30 people. It is a very good school! You can always do 2+2 and all if you want to transfer from their other campus to finish at main, but make sure you know what path you want to take. And also the teachers are very good and just everything for you to have a successful 4 years.
The Pennsylvania State University at Altoona is a wonderful university if you're looking for a small college feeling while still receiving the Penn State experience. The university is only forty minutes away from the main campus and is set in a quaint homelike town.
After attending Penn State Altoona, I can say that I took advantage of my surroundings & learned so much along the way. The small size of PSUA was awesome. It allowed me to get close with my professors and classmates. That being said, I never felt awkward asking a question during lecture or going to office hours. The fact that PSUA is so close to Main Campus was also a great plus for me. I bought season tickets to the Penn State football games both years I attended PSUA. This is a great two year campus, that truly prepared me for my next two years at Main Campus!

Don't blow off homework assignments if you know they won't be graded. Ignoring homework will make things harder to remember and bring the class grade down. Also, study more than you did. Tests are different than what you are used to.
The kind of person who doesn't really want to be in college or just wants to party should not attend this school.
The most frustrating thing about my scool is the fact that it is so expensive. I get a really good education but it is hard to focus when your trying to pay for school.
The smaller sized classes and overall size of the campus.
Small enough to make you still feel at home, but also get the college experience.
The school spirit.Penn State will always be PENN STATE no matter what campus you go to.
My classmates are energetic, enthusiastic, ambitous and full of life.
That the transition to college is not as easy as you may think. There are an unlimited number of factors that a new student has no concept or understanding of until they enter college life. In addition, be open and objective to new ideas and thoughts. Lastly, its alright to say NO! Dont do what anything that makes you uncomfortable or uneasy. The partying is fun, but it is a very bad habbit to break. Class always comes first, becuase thats the point of college, its not for anyone else, be selfish, its your future, and your future alone.
There are not a lot of study spaces avaliable that provide tables where we can spread out our materials. Also, the drinking. A lot of social gatherings involve alcohol and I do not care to join any of that.
Penn State Altoona is very unique considering it is a very nice branch campus to Penn State University and it offers many two and four year programs to its students. I also feel that this college is very involved with the student body and prides itself on acedemic integrity as well as putting the students needs and desires first. The professors will go out of their way for any student and as long as they ask for help they will recieve it. The one thing that I really enjoy is how easy it was to transition here into college life.
Someone who welcomes diversity. Everyone on the campus is different and unique. Also, someone who is willing to work hard but have fun while doing it. The person should want their professors to know who they are.
My university is best known for our football team and campus parties and on a slightly smaller scale to quality of teaching.
