When I tell my friends about my school I brag about only the name itself and that is it. Since it is Penn State everyone knows about it and knows having this on a degree can get you very far. There is nothing else on the campus to brag about.
Being an alumni from a Big 10 School makes me very proud . I find that whenever I am having discussion with my friends about my school and our college experiences, I tend to almost always bring up the fact that we have an amazing football team. Since football games are major events at the school, it was always fun to participate in tail-gating activities and enjoy days with other Penn State students and staff. Volunteering at the games were also fun because I had an opporunity to meet Penn State alumni and share experiences that others can never understand.
That the teachers are really good
I have to study, I don't have friends.
How easy it is to fit in and the respect I recieve from my professors. I am an adult student and even though I was excited to attend college, I was worried I wwould not fit in with the younger students. On my first day of classes however, I made some new friends that even though they are younger are sure to be my friends in many years to come. I also found that professors treated me with respect as an adult. I realized, the professors respected me as a student and an adult.
It's small, you have one on one time with the teachers, and the campus is really nice. THe teachers are amazing and try so hard for you to pass.
when i talk to my friends i brag that this campus is very diverse and that the on campus apartment are apartment style.
When I tell my friends about Penn State they can't believe how involved I am. I'm in numerous clubs on campus. I am president for the Nittany Players, PSU Schuylkill's drama club. I am also secretary of the Keystone Honor Society and for the cheerleaders. Even though I am very involved I still keep over a 3.0 GPA. Most of my friends from Connecticut are amazed that I can do all of this and still do well in my classes. It takes a lot of work and knowing what takes priority.
I don't brag about anything with my friends.
I brag about the way people become like a family during the semester.
What I brag about most when I tell my friends about my school is the activites we have.
Penn State has a very loyal fan base. Penn State has as much tradition as practically any college football program. It is a college with great potential to make life long friends, and has a great atmosphere for academics. The professors are culturally diverse and are extremely knowledgeable about their classes. The professors are very willing to help a student and provide several opportunities to get together and discuss issues. The students are for the most part pleasant, and love to interact. Students are also very willing to help each other by starting study groups when fellow students need help.
Penn State Schuylkill has some very interesting professors and its only a few miles from my home so it is very convenient.
I always mention how small the classes are and how help the students and professors are. I also mention the distance from home. I let people know thats its very safe up here. I also always talk about the different degree programs they have and how you can go to another campus if you wanted to. I also talk about the different race and how i get along with alot of different people out of my race. Its a fun and greatlege to go to.
My friends and two of the clubs I am in.
I brag about how my teachers will work very hard to make sure we understand the lessons they're trying to teach.
The campus is very helpful academically, they provide tutors and the teachers are very supportive to help you succeed.
What I brag about the most to friends would have to be the teachers we have in the Information Science and Computer Science fields. My friends and family know all about my professors and through this I have been able to convince two friends so far to go back to college and they too are enjoying the experience.
The only thing I "brag" about is how awesome a lot of the teachers are.
The think I brag about the most is the amount of attention that is paid to each student. As many of my friends are attending much larger schools like Penn State University Park or Drexel University, I find it is both unusual and excellent that so much attention is paid to each student on a small campus.
The one on one time I can get with my professors and the small campus.
How I can take my Penn State degree almost anywhere in the world and most people will recognize the quality of my diploma. People associate my school with a top notch education. It falls under the same reason people buy BMW's. I bought the name an quality.
The prestige and history of the school is very well known through out the nation. The University is known for giving higher levels of education as well as being extremely rounded in all aspects including academics and sports for example. The school infrastucture as a whole provides a great opportunity for all students whether it be at a satellite campus or main campus.
