Pepperdine is really close to the ocean, which makes for a pretty view as you walk to class every day. The campus is built on different levels so there are lots of hills and stairs. Main campus where the classrooms, library, caf, etc. are is on one of the lowest levels. The freshmen dorms are the dorms closest to main campus. The sophomore dorms are further away, and the junior and senior apartments are even farther (but since it's a relatively small campus, the walk is not too long). There are plenty of places throughout campus that have nice overlooks of the ocean and the rest of Malibu as well.

Overall, Pepperdine's community of people is what makes the school a wonderful school to attend, and you can be assured the location is tempting for those who love the beach, but the strength and authencity of the student body makes it a great school!

Pepperdine is very academically challenging , especially when you are a biology major.

It is an academically challenging school with excellent professors who care a great deal for their student and has a strong study abroad program, but it is extremely expensive, has a small fitness center, is very difficult to use a rec field without being kicked off of, is filled with students who are not living life with any purpose, and Christianity is just another religion like Islam or Buddhism as far as the majority of the students and some of the staff are concerned.

Pepperdine is mostly Caucasian, Christian and while comprised of people from different socioeconomic backgrounds, although there are many extremely wealthy children which places a pressure on people to live the "fabulous Malibu lifestyle" which includes pouring money into appearance.
