The residence halls, especially for freshman, are really great! My room first year was wonderful. It was spacious and clean, with plenty of options for furniture arranging and decorating. Every hall has lots of activities for residents to participate in to become involved and make friends, which is nice when you're new to the school. A few things to think about: You may want to bring your own lamp, as lighting varies between residence halls. Plan with your roommate beforehand via email about who wants to bring a frig or tv, etc. The best thing is to bring items from home that make your room yours!
