The type of person who should attend Philander is the person who is very family oriented. Philander is a small campus which allows students and teachers to gain a relationship that most colleges and universites don't have.
The kind of person that should attend Philander Smith College should be very ambitious, family oriented, hands on and so much more . Someone who prefers a small campus compared to a big campus that can sometimes become overwhelming for incoming freshman. College is a new and interesting experience. Here at Philander we are a family . We, as a whole, are not here to discourage incoming students but uplift and encourage them to want to excel and make something of themselves.
The kind of person that is not looking for a lot of excitement or athletic events should definitely attend this school. If you don’t have an idea of where to attend school, this is a nice school to start out at. Also, there aren't many majors to choose from, including my future major, criminal justice. Mainly people, who major in Biology, Accounting, or Early Childhood Education, attend this school. If you’re looking for a private and religious institution, Philander College is the right one for you.
A person who is not yet ready to start at a big college and wants to have smaller classes so they are able to focus and get the grades they would like and better understand what is really going on
