It's a nice community college
Use your sources and reach out. I know it is cliche, but do not be afraid to ask questions. This is the cheapest option BY FAR!!!!! Keep your options open in deciding on whether or not you want to go to a 4-year school or community college. I think Community college is your best option if you are wanting a cheap option, have no clue what major you want to go in, and if you want to continue living at home for a bit.
Honestly, I love it here. Attending Piedmont Virginia Community College was the best decision I've made for myself, and I'm sure that it will be the perfect school for others, as well. The staff are fantastic, and are always there for you, even outside of office hours. The facilities are very high-quality, the food is affordable, and student activities are plentiful and fun. The arts programs are fantastic, and I'm currently loving a violin class I'm enrolled in. There's plenty of great things to do nearby, and the overall atmosphere of the campus is fantastic. If you haven't already, I would emphatically suggest checking out this great school!
Better than many other community colleges. Could up their food game and accessibility. I dont enjoy the atmosphere in the student center. Its loud and annoying. I wish they would tone it down a bit so you could relax there. More club sports would be cool too, or possibly more diverse selection of PE classes.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Piedmont Virginia Community College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
If i could go back and talk to myself as a high school senior, i think i would tell my self to go on more college trips. To see what the other colleges are like.

Is an exciting experience. It's different, it's organized and it has a welcoming atmosphere. The people are friendly and very helpful. I is a place to make friends and contacts that will mold and define you as you search and learn what and who you want to be. It is a life changing time for us to better our selves and our families. Its a place where people bloom and where friendships are made. It is a place where we find who we are and what we are made of. It is PVCC.
My classmates have always been genuine and friendly and are always willing to listen and give a helping hand when I have asked for assistance.
Piedmont has a wonderful community of students of all different backgrounds, ages, and ethnicities. Our School is diverse and full of extermley determined and focused students. My first semester I had a foreign exchange student in one of my classes from a sister school in Argentina. I love that we give students from other countries a chance to experience another culture. We have people from the city in Charlottesville, Va. and from the surrounding country areas giving a unique experience of city life and southern charm all in one thriving Community College.
The Veterans Admission and Advising Office and support from the President and administration is superior to any school I attempted to enroll in. Of the 3 other schools in my area that I attempted to apply to, Jackie Fisher not only showed up to scheduled appointments and returned phone calls but has been proactively involved with the academic success of every veteran at the school. President Friedman's philosophy of total student success has been demonstrated by deeds not words. The support provided by the administration, professors, and support staff is unparalleled at any school in Virginia.
The people. The teachers, and counlars. They are extremely helpful and will help with anything. PVCC has a Learning Center if you need extra help with a certain subject and you can get one on one time with a teacher to help you.
An undecied person. The resources will help you find a major that will suit you. The staff is very helpful. The classes well planed and very educational.
There is not a kind of person that shouldn't attend PVCC. There are programs for those that don't do well in a traditional classroom and want to learn a trade. For those that need only a 2 year degree or programs for those transfering to a 4-year university. Every professor and staff member is fully committed to the success of the student which provides an environment in which success is achievable for every student regardless of strengths or weaknesses. The only people who don't succeed at PVCC are those that do not try to succeed.
Like every school there will be errors made. The school it's self and it's policy's may be perfect but the people that run them are not;. They are people just like you and I who make mistakes. I think some times it is difficult to always be on the same page when you are speaking with someone who is trying to help you and advise you on what may truly be the best fit for you. We all feel like we could all be better at something and I think it would be comunication.
