Pierce College-Puyallup Top Questions

What's unique about your campus?

The best thing about my school is the helpfulness of the staff, intructors and advisors. They have all been so extremely nice directing me to how I can access all the benefits and resources that as a working, single mother I need. It feels like they want me to succeed at my goal to become a registered nurse. I know with the school behind me I can make it and the support of the school means alot.

The best thing about Pierce College is that they offer the Running Start Program. This program allows high school juniors and seniors to attend community college classes to earn duo credits that count towards graduation as well as their general education classes for a 2-year degree. While only having to cover a small fee for the classes and materials needed (books, pencils, paper, etc.) students are able to save a great amount of money while still getting the education they need.

The best thing about my school is the application/signing up for classes process. Pierce College gives students so many chances and opportunities to meet with advisors and your assigned, dedicated advisor to choose the right classes for you. Even when I went in the day before classes opened, I was treated with a kind smile and they helped me to the best of their ability. I was placed in great classes for such last minute circumstances. I have always been pleased with their dedication to place students in the classes they want and need.
