My mother had to give up her education and her teenage life to work to give me a better future. That is why I will work hard to be successful and follow my passion to lead a better life than my parents had. To do so I will go to Pine Manor College because I believe that it will provide the education and information needed to help me succeed in my major. I will prove to my mother that her hard work was worth it. I will make my own future and be the successful man my mother and my friends see in me.

If I were to go back and speak to myself as a senior: I would take a cue from Ralph Emerson’s essay on Self-Reliance: “Somewhere in our education, we are convinced that though the universe is full of good.” I have always worked hard for all my grades although I rigorously train for basketball. Interestingly, I also discovered I had a talent for coaching others. If I could go back in time, I would approach each task with enthusiasm and not wait to engulf myself in a task before appreciating its importance. I would advise my younger self to embrace Ralph Emerson’s suggestion and live every day as if it were my last but enjoy it as my first. Generally, I would try to manage my time well so I can volunteer more at the local school, start that junior basketball team I always wished I had when I was younger, and complete all my academic and career goals on time. My experience today makes me realize that once one pursues a task with joy and enthusiasm, one can truly achieve happiness and success.

The unique things about my school compared to others is mainly the diversity. Pine Manor has a Kings college on campus that accomdates to international students and Ai is also on campus. So not only do you have international students but you have artistic students as well. So as a whole, Pine Manor is filled with a bunch of various personalities and cultures.

The kind of person that should attend this school is someone who is a leader. This school needs a lot more activities on campus and it's up to the students to be the ones to create them. Someone who is very vocal and assertive to the things they want changed or improved in school. If someone is the kind of person to work in small groups, with small classes and a wide range of diversity, Pine Manor is the school for you. Also, if you like to have one on one times with the professors, you can.
A person who is not interested in personal growth should not attend Pine Manor College it is an all girls school you are bound to mmet a young woman who is a reflectin of yourself.
