I loved this small campus! It is a perfect home away from home! They offer sports, equestrian programs, agricultural programs, and general education courses. It is a tight community of students from what I can see on my visit. Small enough to be a name and big enough to be like all other college experiences! Thanks!
It is a wonderful school to start out at it even complete a 4 year degree at. It's a small campus that is very well kept and has a friendly atmosphere. Even the small class sizes are amazing because it allows students to have one on one time with professors and get the most out of their education.
It was a very nice, friendly campus! I enjoyed it very much when I visited this last weekend. Small classes where my professors are free all the time makes it worth anything. I am so excited to be attending in the fall and ready to get involved.
Potomac State College is a school mostly for people who only want to focus on school. If you don't want the "real" college experience then this is the school to attend. The professors are amazing, the resources, are great, but the activities on and off campus do not happen often.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Potomac State College of West Virginia University is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
Just keep studying and if you need extra help don't be affraid to hit up the tutors, they would be more than happy to help you out, do whatever it is you gotta do to transfer to the school you want go to. Don't get to encouraged and give up becuase you stumble in a few classes. You can do anything you set your mind to. You just have to stay focused and be around more people who are willing to move in the same directions that you are headed. Also don't let people pressure you into drinking or doing anything that you don't want to do. yes your here to get a good education and to make lifelong friends, but make sure you find real friends who are going to support you and be there for you! Most importantly keep a good realationship with God and don't forget who you are.. Everyone wants to be successful, but success doesn't overnight. Yeah there might be acouple of rockey roads. But with God by your side anything is possible.
This school is very diverse and welcomes all races.
The best thing about my school would have to be the class sizes. If you are looking for more alone time or feedback from your teacher then i would recomend coming here. The relationships the students and teachers have here are amazing. They always make you feel welcomed and help you with any situation you have.
The worst thing about my school is that its located in a small town and there really isn't much to do around campus. Most people who apply to WVU and don't meet the requirements get referred to PSC. So on weekends everyone either goes home or goes to the main campus becuase there is lots of things to do there, however, Morgantown is an 1hr 1/2 away so if you don't know people with cars or don't have a car --> out of luck!! you're whole weekend would be boring! Ask anyone who attends there.
I would have to say if you're searching for a huge school with a very large class then you shouldn't go here at all. Classes here are typically smallier than your average colleges. Also if you are a city person like I am you shouldn't attend here. At Potomac State College it's mostly rural and not a lot of things to do. For me i needed a place like this to be less distracted and keep up wiht my studies.
My classmates are all different in many ways.
My school is known in this area for their sports, history, and quick access to West Virginia University. Out sports department is one of the best Junior Colleges around. The baseball team is ranked almost every year, and the boys basketball team recruit the best players around West Virginia, Maryland, and D.C area. This school was open in 1901, known as one of the oldest college that open, with a hand full of students the first to graduating. Lastly if a person that didn't get into WVU they still can if they apply at PSC.
The area that the school is located. At times this school on the weekend can be extremely boring. There is nothing to really do here on the weekends, most of the kids goes to morgantown for the weekend to party.
When I tell my friends about Potomac State College West Virginia University, I brag mostly about the free time that I have to spend . In high school, on a typical day, I would spend 8 hours a day in class. However, now that I only spend approximately 3 hours a day in class. I now have an efficent amount of time to spend as free time and an efficent amount of time to spend on studies.
The most frustrating thing about my school is the financial aid. I had to go back and forth with many differnt people about how much I owed the school because everyone would give me different ammounts. Also what I didn't like was the fact that I got accepted for work study but the school was so overpopulated with students, that they ran out of money. They said that they'll put me on the waiting list but there was no garunetee. Every month you don't pay you get charged a 50dollar fee. And that 50dollars builds up.
