Looking back on how I treated college as a new graduate of high school, I would say to ask as many questions as possible because questions are what help you learn and grow more. I would also tell him to learn how to be organized and how to utilize time as a factor in getting great grades. Finally, I would say to not procrastinate on any homework - the more caught up you are, the better. You never know when life might throw you a curveball, and you can either be prepared or fall back on your heels.
