What are the most popular student activities/groups?

Jerry

Students at Prescott College are very aware of political, social, and environemental activism within their communities. Becuase the school is so small, students get to know each other very well and there is a strong sense of community throughout campus. Campus events are not uncommon--usually there is anywhere from 2-7 events per week!!! Students are very aware of happenings in their communities as well. Prescott College has close ties with a local activist hub called "The Catalyst Infoshop" which produces a "Freeskool" calender each month with a detailing of free classes, meetings, and social events in the community(most of which are done by students and alumni). Community sports and events are popular among students as are pot-lucks.

The most common thing to do around Prescott is go to a pot-luck. Sharing food and gathering for the sharing of ideas is huge here. There are various bars and clubs along Whiskey Row, as well as a thriving art community and volunteer network through independent organizations like the Catalyst. The small town feel is definately carried over into the school community, where a free community lunch is held every Wednesday. Overall, I would say that the social life here at PC tends to revolve around community involvement in one way or another.
