What I wanted to major in.
There's nothing I wished I had known, other than knowing how hard the workload was in high school. High school did not prepare me very well for college, and I had to do a lot to try and catch up after my first two semesters. I had fallen behind and my grades suffered because of it. I just wish I had known how hard I was going to have to try when I came here.
Be ready for what you are getting into and start out well, you you can relaxe the last two years here. College classes are not much different from high school, so study and go to class.
How huge the classes are and how much you really are on your own.
I wish I had known how heavy greek life is and what social life is actually like here and the fact that there isn't anything all that interesting to do off campus.
I wish I had realized how conservative the place was. I'm not an indiana native so that was a bit shocking---I'm used to college campuses being more liberal, even in conservative states. This wouldn't have changed my decision to come here, it's just that the heads up would have been nice.
This will be the best four years of your life!
I wish that I would have known more about the available majors and programs.
Better preparation for college
i dont know...
That not everyone drinks and parties but there are social events and groups where that is not the main focus.
How much time I would have to spend on school work to receive good grades.
What career path I wanted to take.
I wished I had known how to study and known that I could take any class I wanted not just the major cirriculum.
That the workload dramatically increases during the second year. First year is a breeze.
I wish I would have known that I wouldn't be able to eat at the dining courts all the time so that I didn't choose a large meal plan.
How expensive everything is involving school expenses.
More about their financial aide.
I wish I had known how to study better. Purdue is a very difficult school, but it is worth the challenge.
I wish I would have known more about how to get involved on campus. There is a website dedicated to organization call-outs, however I was not informed of this website until halfway through my second semester.
Before i came to school i wish i had known how to become work enthused and not be as trusting as i am. Also i wish i would have knwon more about financial aid.
I wish I knew not to take on so much responsibility.
I wish I knew what snow was really like, that I would need to buy real shoes. Also, I wish I knew how rigorous the classes are, and that you have to work a lot harder here than you did in high school. They don't just give As here, you have to earn them.
For this school to be my first choice.
That buying books online was cheaper.
I wish I had known how easy it was to get involved and how great the sporting events were. I would have joined many more clubs and participated in activities on campus. I would also have gotten season tickets to the sporting events because after going to one, I never wanted to miss another!
