I definitely have learned so much from my professors but also from other staff members such as our janitors. Having conversations with them has given me a different view on life. Not rushing so much and just simply enjoying the journey and people I meet as well as interact with. Realizing that making mistakes is fine but learning from them is what will make me the best version of myself. Everyone has made me feel very welcomed and understand I have someone to talk to when things aren't going well.
ranger is very old school they teach us to become nurses with respect and loyalty. We are taught well and to be honest and trustworthy we dress neat and sharp and clean cut. We say yes maam and thank you. We have respect. When I say old school I mean the school has all the technology even tho they could use everything but when I say old school I mean how your mother and father would expect you to act back when nurses went strictly by a code and book. Thats how I am being taught and I respect it.
Ranger is a good place to go if your looking to get your basics out of the way for a really low price. The town however is located by a major highway and the school itself is starting to fall apart. There is new remodeling be done however and every thursday, friday, and saturday nights the activity center is open. You can get bored really easily so make sure you know how to drive around big cities because you will more then likely be traveling out of there very often.
For the most part, the professors here are great. They know what they are talking about and are willing to help you succeed to move on to bigger and better thing. But, the president is terrible. He and The Board of Regents are extremely corrupt. If you do not play mens' basketball, you are treated like a second hand citizens. The things that are done here are so bad I would not have enough space here to type it all. I would NOT recommend this school to anyone, even my worst enemy.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Ranger College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
I would tell myself to stay focused on my schoolwork and do not lead astray to the influences that friends can have on myself. Become active in student activities and look for any oppurtunities to broaden my view on my future goals. Never let anything throw myself off track and form a routine of good study habits. Keep in mind that the transition from Hgh School to college life will be difficult especially coming from a large city to a much smaller one. Have an open mind and allow yourself to meet people and listen to their advice. Remember that with a strong GPA and my personal qualities I will be allowed to pursue my dreams at a four year university. Never let myelf fail strictly because I have to much going for me to ruin it during this time of life. But most importantly, have fun. Win friends and influance people no matter where my journey takes me from here.
Before coming to Ranger I would have like to have known more about the associates degrees offered on campus. This would have given me better understanding of how to manage my classes and set up my hours in regards to my major.
The one on one communication that is directed from my professors. Each of my classes consists of 30 students or less. This is helpful for maximum understanding of the lessons and curriculum. They are always available for assistance in tutoring or anything else needed. A majority of them have been active on campus for over 15 years and have a firm understanding of their duties and are good role models.
