It is a very small, but nice college. There are many campuses that provide many different classes, as well as a variety of online classes. While some of the campuses do not provide as many activities to do after class, the college is affordable and provides day and night classes. I really enjoy the fact that the counselors are always willing to help, no matter the problem I have. A very nice school for those who want to save money.
I really enjoy going to class. My teachers really know what they are talking about, and make class engaging. They are willing to go the extra mile to make sure everyone understands what's going on and are almost always easy to reach. All of the teachers and staff are approachable, and very kind. I have learned a lot and look forward to continuing to learn there.
I love it here at RCC, It is not a big campus and the people here are nice. The staff are helpful and are friendly. I feel safe here and feel like I will do great academically.

Surely by now you have noticed that some people just seem to be lucky. They say ?I was just at the right place at the right time.? This may be true, but the fundamental truth is, they were at the right place. The key is to be in the places where opportunities abound. College is a place of amazing opportunity. Show up, everyday, and get involved. Be prepared to handle the task at hand. Show up for class. Complete the assignments you are given. Give it your best effort. Take pride in your work. Take responsibility for yourself when your work is not up to par. Trust me, there will be those times when mediocre is the very best you can muster. Falling short on a task is not failure. Failure is falling down and not getting back up again. We all have made, and will continue to make mistakes. It is how we learn. The future stands before you. Show up. Be prepared. Do the work. Remember that champions pay the price. Make the most of every opportunity. ?Due to circumstances beyond my control, I am the master of my fate and the captain of my soul.? ~ Henley
I have not started my first year of school yet.
There is a great diversity of students at RCC. Students from all walks of life share a common goal of obtaining a highler level of education. I was slightly leary of returning to college at my age (44) , but arrived to find several students from my generation. Not only in my age bracket, but several groups representing various age groups from dual credit high school students on up. Although there is a large range of ages, all the students share a commonality in their search for a better education. It is the tie that binds us and strenghtens us.
Its a small school with many oppurtunities just like larger schools but better because you get that one on one attention you may not otherwise recieve.
Classes are not mandatory but you do better when you come.
If you thought a Rappahannock Community College was going to provide you with an inferior education, then perhaps this is not the school for you . While RCC is a lower cost option for many students, the work load is comparable to any four year university. If you are planning to skate by, RCC will not be right for you. The instrcutors at RCC are here to help you, but they will push you to expand your mind through creative thinking assignments designed to get you to analyze and think critically.
