If i could go back in time to when i was a hish school senior i would tell myself that school is the best part of your life, do not give up and work hard. Do not worry about what people may say about you or what things they are doing diffrently than you. Be your own person and make your decisions soley on what you want to accomplish after high school. The real world is not as easy as people try to put off as it is.
Surely by now you have noticed that some people just seem to be lucky. They say ?I was just at the right place at the right time.? This may be true, but the fundamental truth is, they were at the right place. The key is to be in the places where opportunities abound. College is a place of amazing opportunity. Show up, everyday, and get involved. Be prepared to handle the task at hand. Show up for class. Complete the assignments you are given. Give it your best effort. Take pride in your work. Take responsibility for yourself when your work is not up to par. Trust me, there will be those times when mediocre is the very best you can muster. Falling short on a task is not failure. Failure is falling down and not getting back up again. We all have made, and will continue to make mistakes. It is how we learn. The future stands before you. Show up. Be prepared. Do the work. Remember that champions pay the price. Make the most of every opportunity. ?Due to circumstances beyond my control, I am the master of my fate and the captain of my soul.? ~ Henley
I would telll myself to apply myself, be motivated, and have the drive to do what I went to college to do. To stay very organized and to not get side-tracked. I would keep on reminding myself that I am starting the path for my future and to not mess it up.
Being a current senior as well as a college student, I would tell myself to focus more on academic work than jobs or dating. The things I do now, whether they are good are bad, will affect my future in many ways. Not succeeding in school can lead to many job and education issues (not getting into colleges/getting a degree). Procrastination is not an option for any type student, especially with college work. Also, focus on time management to get everything done on time and done well without too much stress.
Do not worry about the obstacles involved in getting there, just go through with it and don't wait until a couple years are gone. You want to take the time to do it right and just jump right from high school to college otherwise that motivation is not as strong and it will take you longer to get what you want.
