i really love the size of the campus. it makes it feel at home even as a commuter student. class sizes and professors are amazing. only thing is that for the price of tuition, i wish the tech was more up to date but thats me nitpicking. i always feel relaxed and in a Zen state of mind with the ambience and environment, so much open space. everyone will have their own sense of comfort here.

Kerry - 11/12/2021

They have a dedicated staff and faculty. For the size, Regis tries to make sure that their students receive the best education available. As a Jesuit university, they walk a fine line between civic engagement and adherence to religious thought. As with any university in a large city, safety can be a concern but the university takes the safety of its students seriously.

Regis University is a great school. My classes are hands on. I feel that this creates a better learning environment. The professors and staff are easily accessible. I am a graduate student so I really can not rate the housing on campus. The food is good, just a bit on the expensive side.

Katherine

Regis has really unique classes and, for the most part, dedicated professors. However, the required core curriculum does not allow for students to easily double major or minor. Also, I have had multiple problems with the financial aid office; my package was continuously changed, and the staff I spoke to about it consistently gave me different numbers. I was treated very poorly by the parking office and felt like I was conned into committing to the school. The university has interesting classes but is not worth the amount of money it demands.

  18. When you step off campus what do you see?

When I step of campus, I am surrounded by a friendly, mainly Hispanic community. Many of the store signs are written in Spanish like, "Lavaderia" and "Carniceria." On one side of Regis we have Lowell Blvd which will take you straight down to the Highlands, a cute little area of town with many delicious local restaurants and shops. The Federal Blvd side of campus has chain restaurants like McCoy's, Wendy's, Caesars Pizza, and McDonald's. I mainly stay away from this part of town unless I am driving through to get to highway 70. In walking distance there is the Rocky Mountain Lake which is great to go for a run or a bike ride.

  19. Why did you decide to go to this school?

I chose Regis mostly based on how much financial aid they gave me. When I narrowed down my choices I was between Regis and Seattle U, both of which gave me a pretty good scholarship. I went to visit both schools and ultimately settled on Regis because I like the feel of the campus much more. I always imagined myself going to a small school with a real campus, which is what I got at Regis, so I chose that one.

  20. Describe the dorms.

The dorms at Regis are in prime condition when you consider those at some other universities. The two freshman dorms are Desmet and O'Connell. I lived in Desmet my freshman year and I loved the red bricked walls lining the inside of every room, as well as the bunk beds, comfy NEW mattresses, and heating/air-conditioning. I was extremely comfortable and O'Connell is similar except has white walls instead of red brick. They both have grassy areas out front for hanging out and are a 1 minute stroll from the quad and the cafeteria.

  21. What are your classes like?

Intimate. I've never had a class that was over 40 students, and I'm finished with all of my CORE requirements. I'm also in the Honors program, so I really get to reap the benefits of being in those upper level classes. We get into a lot of real in depth discussion- professors don't so much lecture at us than lecture with us.
