My overall opinion of Reinhardt University, I enjoyed my time attending Reinhardt University for many reasons. Reinhardt students, faculty and staff all have a love for life and learning. Students are very welcoming and interactive in the community from the arts, sports, fellowship to community service projects to help the college and surrounding areas whom are in need. There are multiple organization from creative to educational. Some groups include book club, educational clubs, volunteer groups, Christian prayer groups, academic meetings for honor students, student work programs, intramural sports, RU athletics, and much more. The RU football team was added my sophomore year along with a marching band which brought a lot of school spirit to the campus. Everyone was excited for game night, I enjoyed getting ready to hang out with friends while cheering on friends and classmates in the games. I was involved in a multitude of extracurricular activities; campus church group, Reinhardt newspaper, intramural sports (football, kickball and ultimate), prayer group, community leadership projects and being a student worker; working at 3 different office on campus during my time at RU. I loved working on campus because it allowed me to get to know the faculty better and find my place at RU. It also created friendships, I still have with my professors and former bosses; which was important when looking for a job after graduation. There is even more to do on campus today than when I attended Reinhardt University. They are growing rapidly from the performing Arts, building four or more new resident halls for new students, to adding over five new sport programs for students to get involved in. The college is student and academic based. Reinhardt has something for everyone, and if something is missing the staff will listen and help you the student create a group or organization for something that interest you and your friends. For instance, ultimate frisbee was not a RU intramural sport, however me and my classmates were able to create it. Reinhardt is an amazing school with a lot to offer considering its size. If you are looking for one on one attention with professors who want to help you succeed, friendships that will last after graduation and an excited unforgettable time in college, Reinhardt is the right college for you. Overall Reinhardt is a wonderful college with endless possibilities educationally and creatively. Erica Hughes Reinhardt Alumni

Reinhardt is an excellent university with professors that care about the learning of their students. Professors are always there, especially during their office hours, to lend a hand, and there is not one professor that is not willing to stay late past the time of class if you do not understand a concept.

Reinhardt is a great school, the programs and people are great, but it is in the process of trying to expand to allow more growth, and some things are getting lost along the wayside. Focus is very divide, and spread a bit too thin. Hopefully things will be better once all the current construction is finished.

Overall, Reinhardt is a great place. We are a big family that is learning to become responsible adults. There are problems just like any college, but we overcome it together. The professors really care about the students and make sure they are learning to the best of their abilities.

I love Reinhardt. Since the first day I have felt involved. I knew that professors know my name and want me to be my very best. I know that Reinhardt is invested in our success. I am excited to be a part of their inaugural nursing class! I would feel very comfortable one day as a parent sending my child to school there!

What is your overall opinion of this school?

Reinhardt University is a great school. I feel that the university should be more affordable for current students as well as potential students. Greek life needs to be apart of the university as well. Reinhardt is great when it comes to sports at the university. Reinhardt University is a great school but needs improvements in many areas. When it comes to education and professors of the university, I feel that the school has a great foundation around them.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

Take an active approach to determining which college will be the best direction for you to go whether you are looking for a good college or university as a student or as a student athlete. As a student athlete, get to know the situation within the present team to be sure the team is a good fit for you. Be sure to take a little more time in looking at the different colleges that you are considering. No one is going to hold your hand to make sure you go to class so be sure to go to class and take good notes. This will help you to be prepared for the tests that you will be taking, if you take good notes. Get involved around campus. Taking a summer class to get your feet wet is a good way to start your college experience. Do be sure to do the best you can on the ACT and SAT tests. It does not hurt to take a prep class to help to maximize your chances to do well on these tests as they can play a big part in scholarship opportunities.

What kind of person should attend this school?

Someone who is more comfortable in a smaller school setting that is willing to get involved not only in class but extra curricular activities on campus as well.

What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?

We have a great Baseball program and I am one of the players on the team. They set a record for wins last season and I believe we will break that record again this year. As a Freshman, I am already contributing by being the winning pitcher in the first game I started. With a coaching staff that is helping us to develop as players as well as students to achieve our best.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

If I could talk to pre college me, I think my biggest warning would be-not all families are the same. I would attempt to prepare myself for the culture shock that everyone wasnt raised the way I was and that not all parents respond to their children the way I have come to expect my parents to respond, and that is ok. Different doesn't mean bad. I would tell myself that I will be forced to make immediate concessions for complete strangers and hope that they do the same for me. Sharing a dorm room with 7 people you do not know will be a challenge, but your response to this must be quick and hospitable. I would tell myself that it will be hard work with lots of challenges, but the reward of a making new friends that feel like family and learning at a level you didnt think possible far outweighs the hardships.

Describe your favorite campus traditions.

Reinhardt is best known for its outstanding professors and academics. For a fairly small private university, Reinhardt does offer a variety of subjects, and classes for students to choose from. This allows us the freedom to branch out and try something new while still having our core classes available to us.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

To my stressed-out, high school senior self, I know it's hard to believe, but your life did not end after high school. In fact, it only just began. Despite all your constant fears of growing up, and never wanting to leave high school, I can honestly tell you that once you get to college you'll never want to go back to high school. I know, shocker. The thing is, Reinhardt is not like any ordinary university; it's like home. I'll be honest, in the beginning it's a little overwhelming with all the work that is all of a sudden thrown at you, but once you get a planner you'll be good to go. The key is to stay organized with due dates for tests, homework, essays, and everything else that you'll have to do. Also, don't be afraid to reach out and join a club or participate around campus. This little step of effort truly makes a world of a difference, and makes you friends. Which is a pretty good bonus. Most of all take it easy, and enjoy every moment. These will be the best days of your life.

What's unique about your campus?

The best thing about my school is how involved the teachers are in the students' education. It is not very common for teachers to be as involved in a student's education at larger, more populated schools, but at Reinhardt our teachers go out of their way to make sure that we get all the help and guidance we need in a class. The professors always have open office hours, and this is very helpful for classes that might be more challenging. At this time we can get one on one help with the work.
