What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

No other college compares to Reinhardt college. This college has so many campus facilities to help you with any problem you have or if you need anything at all. Classes are not very large and its very helpful to you as a student because you can actually get individual help from the professor and you can be heard in class discussions. Incoming new freshmens are usually nervous I know I was and college is really not that scary. Reinhardt made me feel so comfortable. Reinhardt made me learn how much I can actually handle with classes, papers and deadlines. It made me learn my full capabilties. Students should not underestimate themselves because they can succeed at Reinhardt.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

If you are the type of person who gets easily distracted by your social life, don't attend a large school for at least your first year of school. Students have to make sure they can get in a routine of studying and doing homework before they go to hang out with their friends all the time because if not students will fail out. Students should make sure they have a lot of fun but they also need to remember what they are really at school for and they need to set goals for themselves. Also it is very important to stay organized at all times.

What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

Nothing, I knew everything about the school before I came.

What kind of person should not attend this school?

Someone who wants a large atmosphere of people and who wants to be in a forturnity or sorority

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

Know what you're looking for. Know whether you prefer being around lots of new people and would thrive in a big university, or if you would be more at home in a small community college atmosphere. Know what you want your major to be--find the best in your field.

What kind of person should attend this school?

Ones who like tight-knit family-like communities. Small town, small college, serious work from caring professors who want you to do well. It's hard to fall through the cracks.

Describe your favorite campus traditions.

Probably just being such a great school. Many people consider Reinhardt a starter school because it is small and it's not as intimidating at a large university. But I think that most people decide to finish their education at Reinhardt because of their experience. At Reinhardt, there is a sense of community. Being at school makes you feel like you have another family.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

College is supposed to be an good experience. Don't put to much pressure on yourself or your student about going to the "right" school. When you begin college and you find out that you don't like where you are, you can transfer! But also remember that it is important to take your education seriously. You can go to any school and find parties and people who are just there to have a good time. But at the same time, you can find people who attend the same school who are there for an education and they will get one if that's what they are there for.

What's unique about your campus?

I think that the best thing about Reinhardt is the class size. The most people I have ever had in a class is about 25. I'm very shy and having to speak in front of large groups of people scares me to death. With there being such a small class size, I'm not afraid to speak up in class discussions or to answer a question.
