Renton Technical College has been my school first from 2011 to 2013 and now I am looking to come back to school to complete a nirsing program. I love this place because everyone is very helpful and kind and it feels like a family. There are a lot of resources and the stuff is always there to help you.

There is room for improvement. We are here to learn and some instructors making learning difficult instead of trying to help you in succeeding your goal. When a teacher sees a student isn't doing well they should reach out and help instead of letting them decline. Teachers should offer extra credit.

Amanda - 11/08/2018

RTC is life changing. They believe in what you want for yourself. You just have to want it for yourself they have your back. I am so happy to be apart of RTC and will forever tell others about RTC as well. The programs they offer are different from others but more beneficial different. I just wish at times school was free so we can all have an opportunity to be who and where we want to be.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

I would tell myself that these next 4 years of my life would be the most important years in dictating the rest of my life. It is very important to put yourself in a position to succeed. Going off to college and not having your parents around for the first time presents opportunity to lose focus on what's important. As it is important to make friends to feel comfortable at your new school, it is more important to make friends who aren't going to hinder you from achieving your goals. I learned that everyone in college isn’t there for their education. A good way to stay focused is to get involved in your school. Student Leadership is a great way to do so. Being a student leader teaches you a lot about teamwork, leadership, and responsibility. In addition, growing your network around campus gives you different avenues for future placement. Most of the faculty/staff around school campuses have connections to the workforce, and could be the difference when seeking that dream job you just spent four years of your life working towards. Lastly, be your own number one fan and have confidence to be great.

Any person not interested in receiving vocational training directed at gaining employment as soon as possible. The diverse student base means that students are at widely varying levels of education. As a result, the curricula tend to be broad and slower paced to allow those with less academic experience and/or preparation to succeed. Individuals seeking a more formal or rigorous academic experience should direct their attention toward traditional colleges and universities rather than trade/technical/vocational schools.
