How focused and determined the students from this school are. They take their education very seriously because they love what they do, and the professors are very encouraging to help achieve the student's goals.
The best thing about RISD is the school diverse and ecclectic group of students that live, breathe and devote themselves to their art. Self exploration and expression is thoroughly encouraged and people will appreciate you the more for it.
risd is a socially responsible community ,we’re a part of our community. our responsibilities goes further than just keeping the systems running, we believe in creating new ideas to improve our community structures. our generation we have an obligation to lend a helping hand in the community at large and we have the responsibility to reconnect ourselves to projects that promotes change. risd has respect and individual integrity. As a result, living successfully in this community will always depend on balancing the greatest possible freedom for the individual with a sensitivity to and respect for the rights of others.
The best thing about my school is that there is never a dull moment. I am always being challeneged, which will come to help me with my future when I am pushed out into the real world.
The best thing about my school is the community. Everyone is really driven and focused on their work and you can learn a lot just by looking at your peers' artwork during class critiques. You absorb so much from your surroundings because everyone lives and breathes art and they are eager to share their influences with you, whether it is through a casual conversation or a guest lecture. It is wonderful to be involved in a community that is so excited to do their assignments and it is that enthusiasm that inspires people to do the best work possible.
RISD is very liberal and artistic which is great because it allows for a lot of free-thinking and experimentation.
most of everyone loves what they are doing
Art
Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) is a small school where students thrive equally off their teachers as they do their classmates and friends. Becuase of its size, students at RISD are in a learning environment with each other in and outside of the classroom. Each student is truly there to push their creative boundaries and discover how to turn interests into lifelong learning experiences. Before my freshman year, I had never before felt so challenged and determined in my creativity, nor so interested in using my creativity to better my world.
The best part is how open you can be. I never feel that I have to pretend to be someone I'm not. I can wear what I want and listen to whoever I want without worrying about what people might say.
The best thing about my school is your peer environment. The majority of learning at RISD comes from the observance of other students' work.
FELLOW MINDS. We are all mismatched lumpkins with exquisite tricks up our sleeves. We work fucking hard. We look down on everybody. We are BRIMMING WITH CLEVERNESS AND SASS. We are our own pretentious gaudy filthy-minded court, like some seceded castle. The one thing we don't tolerate in each other is mediocre work. Many of the Fine Arts and Liberal Arts professors are excellent weirdos as well - people who don't manifest in ordinary society.
it has a good educational system and it has good name value. this will help pull in alot of diverse people which is always a good thing.
The level of education offered. We have one of the best art curriculums in the world.
"It's really about... the personal development, risd is all about creating communities and providing an opportunity for students to get involved,"
