Richland College is a great community college. They offer a plethora of degree plans that fit everyone's needs. Richland college has many opportunities as well. For example, I am enrolled in the Richland Collegiate High School. This means that I am graduating form high school and earning my associate's degree at the same time. Richland offers sports like soccer and basketball, and they are actually really good teams. The learning environment is very supportive. If your professor cannot meet with you, there are a variety of free learning centers around the campus. The library is also a great resource to use. The campus life is cool too. During dead week, there are games to play and music. There is always some type of fair going on, and there is free food and free stuff. Overall, Richland College is a well rounded school to get your higher education.
I like this school. Yes, it is close to home and convenient but I also do find the faculty and staff extremely helpful and knowledgeable about whatever your needs are. The diversity and culture at the school is a big plus. Everyone interacts with one another. You do see a group of "certain culture" "race" but very rarely.
Richland College provided me the oppurtunity to finish most of my courses online which in turn gave me the freedom to travel and work on my own schedule! In addition, almost all of my professors were kind enough to listen and care about me which resulted in a great learning environment. Academics are taken seriously but in a great way, I've been able to achieve a great GPA, learn a lot of new skills and knowledge, and adjust to the college life without the pressure and stress that university life usually brings. Thanks to the support Richland has given me when it came to academics, I've been blessed with oppurtunites like visiting and spending time at NASA! The students here all very nice, as long as you're friendly, you will make friends! There are always things to do on campus and it's small and homey. The only frusteration I experienced was when it came to transferring into Richland college- it's taking forever to get credit for just three credits, my degree plan, and a bus pass I can use! The administration is friendly and try to help as best as they can, but you need patience because somethings just takes months for no real reason. But besides that, I'm so happy I chose to come here first. I wouldn't have had at any other way! If you want a smooth transition out of high school and into post-secondary institution, an affordable education, and oppurtunities, RLC is for you!
For any student or person at large who have a desire to get a higher education, Richland College (and any other school in the DCCCD) will be on of the best post-secondary education schools that anyone can enjoy. The administrators and professors here do an excellent job of preparing students for the complex and long lifestyle of being a student at a major four year university.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Richland College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
If I could go back in time, I would not rush into a career and finish my 4 year degree. I would take advantage of my opportunities as a student and enjoy life in my thirties other than return to finish what should have been done by the age of 21.
Richland College has provided a very pleasant school experience so far. Being a community college and having an Associate's Degree Program, it provides the availability for any kind of student of any age or ethnicity. The teachers are very helpful, understanding, and truly want you to succeed in your career goals. It has helped me transition greatly and I highly recommend it to any future college student who does not want to go straight to a university.
I wish that I knew how to manage my time more effectively. College work is a lot more demanding than high school work, and if I had better time management skills, I believe my grades would be better than they currently are now.
Richland is very diverse but honestly I don't know any of my classmates.
Richland is best known for being a community college. It is very popular among people within the Dallas area. There are many classes offered and not one area of syudy is prominent over the others. It is a great way to get two years of schooling at a low cost.
I like the ability to take classes online. This enables me as a single mom to not only work, spend time with my children, and manage my own schedule.
In going to this college a person must be looking to achieve getting their associates degree at low tuition pricing. An adequate student for Richland College must have the motivation to complete all of their basic required courses before transferring to a university to get a bachelors degree and major. This school is full of a diverse collection of people at different intelligence levels so being a community college it is very accepting of everyone that applies.
The kind of person that should not attend this school is not a valid question for community colleges. These colleges are designed to give aid to anybody who needs, whether it be finacial or purely academic, this college is made for people to be successful and will help you to make it. If I were to pick a person not to come here, it would be someone who already is in good academic standing and has all the money they need and allow for the people that need that help there get it.
The school i go to has an average campus. You can easily get around. The classes are small and you can learn well.
The worst thing about my school would have to be that there are not many healthy food options available on campus.
I brag about how wonderful the teachers are. Every teacher that I've had so far has seemed genuinely committed to helping their students to achieve their dreams. The schedules are also very flexible and work well with my work schedule.
