Ridgewater College is a overall really good school for the tuition and cost of attending. It's one of the most affordable two year community and technical colleges in Minnesota with many high rising programs offered such as the one of the most affordable and most recognizable Veterinary Technology programs in the nation. There are a few options but not many for students but Ridgewater makes up for it with the diverse clubs and organization that are available to join and participate in, which I'm very appreciable about.

Cesar

it's a pretty nice and cheap college for anyone with a budget. I love it here since it's a small college and it's also pretty quiet, definitely not what i expected

Joshua

I think it is a great college to get started in your college career. However, I think you should aim higher. It is great for generals, and for two year students, but if you want a bachelors degree, you should continue to look elsewhere. I think the teachers, in general have a great understanding of what students need to further their education, and are there to help. Overall, I think it is a very agreeable school

Autumn

I really love my school for the price and how easy it is to receive help for academic issues. Tutors are always free and available. I do wish that we had more clubs that do not only meet on Tuesday or Thursdays, however, for a community college it is pretty good.

Ridgewater College FAQS

  1. What is the Acceptance Rate at Ridgewater College?

The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Ridgewater College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

I am a non-traditional student with four children. It is very difficult to set a side time to study while managing a household. If I could go back in time; I would have at least went to college just to take generals. Many teens do not know what they want to be or focus a career on. If you at least attend a college to pursue a higher education through general course study, then you will be exposing yourself to what college is like. Once you are attending college you are able to get an inside look at many areas for career goals. You will meet people with different goals and it will open your mind to new ideas and give you inspiration to choose a pathway for a career. A college education is priceless in todays society.

I believe any type of person would enjoy this school. From outgoing kids to shy quiet kids like myself, its a great chance to get to know more people and create new friendships. The area is still expanding busniess-wise, so its a great town to be in, as there's a lot of chances to begin a new life or just to live in during college years.

  11. What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

I find it frustrating that people consider a smaller school inferior just because they are not a major university. I've been to so call real universities and I've learned so much more in the first year of my program then I have in three years at an university. I just get frustrated when people bring down Ridgewater just because it's considered a community college.
