Although I respect Rivier University for the many wonderful qualities it has to offer, there is one error I have found within their nursing program. I am seeking to go on to medical school to become a medical doctor. Currently, I am a part of the nursing program. Unfortunatly, the nursing program does not require a student to take several different science and math classes that are required to prepare a student for medical school. Comparingly, other schools do within their nursing programs. These classes include chemistry, biology, organic chemistry, immunology, genetics, biochemistry, calculus, and physics.
I believe the worst thing about my school is its size. It is a very small school and in a way makes me feel as though I am attending high school all over again. In some ways this may be beneficial but to me it seems to be dragging me down a bit. I do not get to meet new people and adventure our of my comfort zone as much as I would if I were to attend a bigger university.
The worst thing about the school and probably any school for students it that this year as an incoming freshman we have to baord three people to one dorm because the is an over-abundance of freshman students this year.
It is on the expensive side.
The worst thing about Rivier College is that a lot of students are commuters making the weekends bare with students. The weekends are a time free of going to class yet at Rivier College their is not a lot to do on the weekends when so many people are at home.
