There were no suprises when entering this school. Everything straight forward and upfront.
I wish that I would have known how to study properly. In high school I was never asked to read text books, but almost all of my college classes require text book reading. This has been a great challege but I am working hard to overcome my weaknesses. I also wish I would have known more about all of the different services offered by the school. There was a lot that I didn't take advantage of my first semester because I didn't know about it. I am now getting involved in many different aspects of the college experience.
I wish I would have known that the classes are not as small as they make them out to be, many classes are only offered at one time each semester, there is a service charge on the meal plans, and there is almost no transportation off the campus.
I wish i would have known how living away from home would be like because my first year i stayed at school but really didnt like it so I commute know and it is much better. Also i wish I would have known how playing football would be like cause after 3 weeks i quit because being a kicker in college you sat on the side of ever practice and didn't do anything. It was like a waste of time.
I wish I would have known time management techniques for when I first came to school. It is important to know how to manage your time between academics, social life, and your extra-cirriculars. If you can find that balance there is nothing stopping you from succeeding.
I wish I would have known that it is basically like high school. Dont sweat the small stuff. Live it up this is the transitional period from high school to the real world so dont act a fool, essentially.
