I was a RIT student for a semester. It was a great school. Unlike other schools, RIT had an amazing disability services, and they were able to provide me all accommodations I needed. Unfortunately, RIT didn't have a nursing program after I found out that I want to major in nursing. I always recommend this school to high school students, if they are interested in programs that RIT has. If it has a nursing program, I would definitely stay there.

I love it. I could not have asked for a better college experience. The people, professors, and the atmosphere are the most welcoming and helpful of any I have ever seen. I found my brothers in my fraternity, joined a professional organization that will advance my career, and found things I'm passionate about with the help of everyone around me.

RIT was a great match for me. it has a fantastic technology/engineering department. As far as sports go- hockey is the big thing. I wasn't really a hockey fan before coming here, I'd prefer to watch football, but the whole campus really gets into the men's and women's teams. The college does a good job of offering social events and getting the work out. There is a lot of available community involvement if you want to participate. The college is big, but it doesn't feel that way when you're there.

I love it here at the Rochester Institute of Technology. I love the atmosphere here it's a fun place to be. There are tons of clubs to join and events are happening all over the campus all the time. I can only speak for the Computing College, but the professors there are great. (Be prepared for a very skewed gender ration though.) If you are looking for fun you can find a party, or go to a hockey game(Its RIT's bug sport). It gets cold in the winter(It is in NY) and you better love bricks because there are A LOT of them.

I feel as if it is hands down worth the tuition. The campus is extensive, so there can be something for everyone to enjoy. I enjoy my time even with the academic life being hard at times. It definitely challenges you to work your best and away from your comfort zone, which I believe is great preparation for co-ops and the real working world.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

I love RIT so much. It is an extremely inclusive culture and caters to almost everyone. There are tons of people to meet and interact with, and there is almost always someone that has common interests with you. There are tons of things to do on campus ranging from volunteer work, extracurricular activities, student government, self study, research opportunities, self driven projects, and even super computers! The community is very caring, and you have an enormous amount of resources available to you. If you need help, there are almost always at least three points of contact that you can get in touch with in order to get the needed assistance. This assistance can be, mental health, academic needs, disabilities, sickness, stress, relationship abuse, substance usage, and so many more! In my opinion, RIT is an amazing school, and everyone should consider it. Don't let money be a problem, because RIT will assist you in your financials if you are struggling!

Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) is an amazing university. It is special because there is something for everyone. There are sports teams with different levels of commitment. There are dance teams and acapella groups. We have over 300 clubs and organizations. The professors care about their students and want them to excel in their courses. There are plenty of resources on-campus from academic to health care. There are always plenty of events to attend on-campus, thanks to our College Activities Board. RIT has everything you need!

What is your overall opinion of this school?

There is ample opportunity for help on campus outside of class, which students should take advantage of if they are struggling in their classes. A number of wellness classes are also available for students to take that help with evading the dreaded "freshman fifteen." Overall, RIT is an open college that is accepting of people from various backgrounds.

The professors at Saunders Schools of Business are amazing! They really help you understand the topics if you need help and to get a deeper understanding they assign projects(both group and individual)

What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

For me it has been the co op search. MIS students are required to do 1 semester or 2 summers to fulfill the co op requirement. Since I transferred as a junior I was limited to the 1 semester. So far it has been a struggle since I haven't been able to find that many co ops for the Fall 2017 semester.

What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?

Job fair and the networking events! Huge companies like Facebook and Microsoft come to the fair and also they hold networking events and info sessions through the semester.

What kind of person should attend this school?

If you care more about your academics and career and you don't really care about frat parties then this is the school for you.

What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

The worst thing about the school is the area. You can't really get around unless if you have a car or a friend who has a car. Public transport sucks in the area.
